9AM: wake up, realize Physics is starting right now, guess I'm not going to Physics. Take a shower.
915AM: Play vidja.
1030AM: Convince self not to go to Diff EQ either. Keep playing vidja.
12pm: Drive to Sonic and grab lunch. More vidja.
130PM: Meh, I'll just look up the notes for World History II later. Vidja.
6PM: Drive to Checkers and grab dinner. More vidja.
12AM: Should probably go to bed or I'll oversleep again. Nah. Vidja.
2AM: Go to sleep.

it was alright. i took some interesting classes and thought i was really busy, but my life was actually nothing but free time. overall my experience was kind of boring though and i wish i had lived on campus

- wake up at noon
- go to one class at like 1pm
- work on a paper in the library or watch Breaking Bad on my laptop in the student center
- go to the gym
- grab dinner with a friend
- go to my second class for the day in the evening
- drive home after class to smoke weed and play League of Legends until like 3am

I did have that discussion a couple times but hey, I got the degree. I did tend to care more about classes that weren't so mindnumbingly boring as retaking Physics since I couldn't take the AP test in HS or listening to the DE prof rattle on about how the solution to this equation is ALSO an exponential (gasp!) or so mind-numbingly irrelevant as World Freaking History.

I went to a university with an attendance policy. miss the equivalent of two weeks of class (6 or 4 absences depending on if it's MWF or TR) and you fail

I still spent a ton of time doin vidya, though

that's not a thing everywhere? most of the classes i took wouldn't let you miss more then 3 days without a valid excuse. of course many of the large lectures didn't take roll, though some teachers required electronic sign in.

i never had a true college experience.

i was a commuter student and went to community college for 2 years and then transferred to the state university's business school.

The one major positive is that I have no student loans though. I paid for everything out of pocket

It is now. It wasn't always, which made college that much better IMO.

Yeah. It was kind of a scare with the last couple of semesters when the people who managed the PACT program thing happened.

PACT was an Alabama program where you pay into it while your kid is growing up and then they pay for tuition. Then, 2008 happened and investments crashed and now suddenly they didn't have as much money as they were supposed to anymore. So for a while they were just offering "sorry for screwing you over not my fault" as consolation but then they decided to lock it in at 2010 rates, so I managed to finish school afterall.

I dunno what happened with the program after that because I guess I didn't care after I graduated in 12. Was still a lot out of pocket but could have been everything, which would have not been possible.

Also, what was your GPA @DevsBro? I'll be transferring to an actual college where my gpa won't matter as much and then I can probably live a lifestyle more like that <_<

I wanna say 2.6 but can't quite remember. Engineering classes brought my GPA up a lot. I could have had a 3.something if not for all the bulldooky classes I gave no craps about.

Well this explains your lifestyle lol

It's a different story if you go to a difficult university and try to maintain a 3.5 or higher.

Reminds me of my first segfault. Literally tried to resolve it until 6AM before giving up, submitting and heading home.

I played way too much Melee and Brawl in undergrad. GPA started at a solid 4.0 my first year and gradually went down after that until I finished with a 3.68

Only stressful part of undergrad was realizing my advisor and I were on different pages and I had to take a class along with its prereq in the same semester or risk pushing back graduation a full year for a single class
