I'm 5'7'', about 170 pounds. I'm currently working out a bit (weights and jogging) and I'm eating better than before

Anyway, I have fairly thick (thicc) legs. Namely, my calves are pretty big, and it's probably because I was more overweight when I was younger.

Here's my question: will jogging make the calves bigger or smaller? And what about running uphill? The neighborhood park I go to has a large uphill which I enjoy since I get to challenge myself on it but I'm hesitant about making my calves any bigger than they already are. I am, however, trying to improve my glutes, if you catch my drift--so I've started doing basic squats in my house lol)

In my experience jogging doesn't really build muscle like lifting would. However, if you were running hills everyday then you probably would see some improvement.

Calf raises, especially with weight, are the best way to get big calves.

You better watch out, you better not cry, you better not pout, I'm telling you why

I'm trying not to work out my calves as much as other parts in my legs/glutes

Or, to put it better, I think the previous exercises I've been doing have been targeting my calves more so than other parts. For instance, I would do calf raises while holding 30 pound dumbbells on each hand, and I was pretty good at it too (I could do like over 30/40 reps). So I should probably stop doing that
