Really the biggest hypocrisy is about the drug war, jingoism and the surveillance state.

Remember, in 2003 if you were against the Iraq war you were akin to a traitor. They all regretted it in 2015, and now they support the strike on Syria.

Its fucking ridiculous. I can at least respect libertarians even if I disagree with them. But most conservatives are terrible.

they only want small government and state rights when it involves something they hate for no reason. if its something they want they are for as much government as possible.

Pointless regulation to bog things down that will inevitably just piss people off.
Marriage is a religious institution, defined by the church's dogma, however civil unions as done in a court house should be open to all.
Women have a right to chose.
What kind of psychopathic glory seeking moron of a prosecutor would do something this mind numbingly stupid.

There are also tax benefits now. I'd much rather marriage be a religious thing, and courthouse weddings be civil unions. Either way, a church can deny a marriage based on its teachings, but a court house should be required to wed anyone.

people of all religions get married. its odd that Christians in America are trying to claim "MARRIAGE" as just their religious thing and say that we can't legalize Gay Marriage because of Religious reasons.....

There are two bathrooms, men and women.
Fine by me.
Only allow when the health of the fetus and mother are in danger.
Miscarriage because of what someone else did? Yes.

I guess since I'm starting to lean slightly Right these days...

1. Leave the decision to accommodate trans-folk to the individual businesses. If Macy's wants a gender neutral bathroom or to allow trans-folk to use their preferred bathroom, then that's up to Macy's, etc. For bathrooms in State buildings, let each state decide for themselves.

2. I'm okay with gays getting married through civil ceremonies and receive all of the rights and privileges due to them associated with that contract. However, I'm also okay with private religious institutions and businesses refusing to provide for the service.

3. I think even a fetus should have some rights. I think that women who become pregnant as a result of their own choices should be obligated, within reason, to take responsibility for and accommodate the fetus/unborn child. In the case of rape, I'm okay with her seeking an abortion because it was a pregnancy put upon her by force, rather than her own choices. I don't think it's fair to force people to shoulder undue burdens put upon them by others anymore than we have to. I'm willing to compromise with early pregnancy terminations.

4. I'm okay with a miscarriage tried as a murder if there's good reason to believe there was malicious intent and forethought. Particularly when the unborn died as a result of the mother being physically assaulted. Say, someone beats the crap out of a pregnant woman and has a miscarriage as a result. Charge the person or people who attacked her with murder. I think you'd need a really good reason and a strong case to charge the woman with intentionally causing a miscarriage.

To clarify, even if I'm starting to lean Right these days, I think I'm realistic in the sense that almost everyone is for both big and small government. Or, rather, they want the government strong in some areas and weak in others. I'm not going to pretend I'm for Small Government all around.
