It's fun but the bugs did become noticeable towards the endgame. Still worth getting, but I'd wait for like a month or two until it "comes out of Early Access".

yeah, the patch made some small improvements to the face animations. tbh its the whole mapping of the eyes thats wonky.

the game is great though. everything else is pretty solid. combats great, graphics are gorgeous, runs great on my 970gtx.

They finally added jump jets to the series that's supposed to be set in a future with advanced technologies, and a land vehicle that's not slow as molasses thanks to rocket boosters (and you can customize the paint job!).

It seems like if you're still deciding, you should wait until a price drop because the game will actually be fixed by then.

also, some multiplayer tips when starting out:
- all common guns SUCK, but the Predator makes a decent sidearm for when you run out of ammo for your main gun and you're using a power based class, where cooldowns are the most important thing ever
- to add to the above, start with a power based class (adept, sentinel, engineer); sentinel's probably the best starter class since it's sturdier than the other two and you can pop up a barricade if things get too hot
- don't bother with the more gun reliant classes (namely, soldier) until you unlock decent guns
- start buying bronze packs first so that you can unlock all the common guns and classes and remove them from the silver and gold packs (nothing like spending 100,000 credits to get a katana vi)
- don't camp on the extraction zone during wave 7 or else you risk getting swarmed by boss type enemies. wait nearby and try to clear the area, then make a run for the EZ during the last 15-20 seconds or so

Actually the best guns in the game are Rares. Vanquisher, Equalizer, Talon, Scattershot, etc.

Also Human Infiltrator is a top 3 class at worst. Debatably top 1. Human Vanguard is also top 5 and a great starting class until you start getting better weapons.

Andromeda wasn't too shabby. The main quest is average to above-average, and some of the sidequests are even fun, which is more than I can say for Horizon ZD. Just make sure you don't build a combat-centric skillset, because for some stupid reason, 90% use power cells and you'll be constantly running out. Go for tech/biotic stuff + maybe Barricade.

If you play on hardcore it's better to focus on something specific because you get big bonuses if you're invested in the one group (the more tech points the more tech damage you do for example).

I took it off hardcore because of frustrating checkpoints but if I figured that out earlier I could have probably stuck with it.
