She plead guilty to one count of endangering the welfare of a child by engaging in conduct that would debauch or impair the morals of a minor Jenna will be eligible for parole in a year as the former english and hockey teacher at Parisppany Hills High had initially been charged with sexual assault and official misconduct The victim, who is now 20 is also SUING her AND the district!! The 20 y/o was at the sentencing, as well as his mother AND supporters against Jenna. The victim said "No 16 y/o should go through what i went through" Jenna maintained that although she exchanged nude pics with him, that HE was the aggressor and that she only sent him the texts so that he would stop being physically aggressive with her. Jenna said "At the time, i did it, i thought it would help to end the ongoing sexual assault. Now i realize there were and are far better ways to have dealt with the situation. I'm deeply ashamed and embarrassed for what ive done. If i could change how i reacted to the situation, i would. Now all i can do is try to repair the damage that was done. I've gotten myself into a terrible situation that no teacher ever wants to face, confronted by an overly aggressive student. I failed to seek help in doing so failed the rest of my results, my colleagues as well. I have failed myself by allowing this conduct to occur. This situation is not indicative of who i am as a person or teacher" The prosecutor admitted that the 16 y/o was persistent AND annoying but that he was 16 and that was EXPECTED of him. The 16 y/o victim also admitted he has a CRUSH on Jenna and said "What 16 y/o boy wouldn't" One of Jenna's text said "I'm horny all th etime. It's wrong. I still want it though. You are one lucky kid. God i want u, i know i shouldn't" Judge Salem Ahto noted that the teen used the same language as Jenna but that SHE was the adult and the teacher. The 2 had NO CONTACT with each other as they only sexted. Jenna will register as a sex offender when released and will have parole supervision for the rst of her life. She will never teach ever again as well..her attorney also tried for probation and that Jenna was "terrified" for her safety in prison but it was denied.
