Yes, very much so. They've visited me a few times and always been super-polite.

I'm not all that familiar with what they believe but supposedly some of it is way off base from biblical teaching.

I never had religious girls go to my door and try to convert me, it's mostly just religious guys >_>

Though it must be nice, religious girls tend to be the best looking in my opinion, even though most end up being coo coo to the head.

Yes, women are allowed to go door to door to preach God's word to those willing. Even conduct in home Bible studies. The only thing they are not allowed to do is preach directly to the congregation at their meetings (church service). I forget the exact scripture, I haven't been practicing for like 15 years, but there is something Jesus said in one of the gospels that they take as women being unfit to directly preach to the congregation. Only men.

Edit: And what do you kids mean by "qt"?

They have an united view of stuff in the bible, opposed to Islam and the regular church for example where they see things differently depending on the person

Youre thinking of these verses by Paul not Jesus:

Women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the law says. If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church.

That's the one. Forgot that it was Paul. Though that certainly sounds like something Paul would say.

In rare circumstances they do make an exception (like in an area where there are no qualified men), but then they would have to have a head covering and most rather a guy be responsible.

I also think a vast majority of door to door preachers are women.

Yes, my mother did it on a few occasions conducting the Thursday night Bible study we had because I was still unbaptized at the time.

They also the the "scenes" as I forget on the service meeting I believe where two sisters or a brother and a sister would talk something Biblical. But never from the podium, except for the exception you mentioned, at least when I was going to there.

I do remember a woman reading (at the time she was the only real reader of Arabic, by the time I developed my skills I kind of left), but not from the stage so she didn't have to wear a hat, scarf or anything.
