I've already beat it twice on normal difficulty. I think I'll turn off needing to eat food though

Hunger really isn't that bad. If you can handle the other parts of Survival, you won't have any problems with hunger.

That's bullshit, very hard in FO4 has bullet sponge enemies, why wouldn't survival mode make the human enemies just as weak as you? I thought that was the point.

It has potential to be a really awesome mode, but two things kill it for me:


1) Can't save without going to a bed. Would be a decent addition in any other game, but considering this is a Bethesda game, riddled with bugs...yeah....

2) Diseases. Sometimes they didn't make any sense how I got them. I woke up and got a stomach virus somehow after not eating anything.

They are more vulnerable, just not as vulnerable as you. They still take full clips to drop.

Enemies in Survival are still bullet sponges. Not as much as on Very Hard, but you'll still drop much faster than them, even if they're just a Raider in leather armor.

I heavily invested in damage straight away and they seem to go down just fine. The real "bullet sponges" I think are the super mutants and Mutcrabs.

I think it's the funnest part of Fallout 4. My only gripe is that you can only save in beds and it's only because Bethy games... aren't exactly known for their stability and having to restart portions of the game again because of something you just can't control is stupid.

Try taking on a raider attack dog in survival. It takes a full clip to the face before biting you once and killing you.

There are mods that change the player damage done from .5x to 2.0x like NPC damage.

The Sole Survivor takes and deals increased damage.

Stronger enemies now spawn with regularity, making the Commonwealth a very dangerous place until very high levels.

The player character definitely has his damage gimped in addition to enemies spawning at high levels.

And then gets his damage doubled as the Adrenaline goes up.

Thank God there's not an achievement for beating the game in survival mode because fuck that shit. Hardcore mode through the dlcs with no canteen in new vegas was enough to make me want to murder everyone.

There's no way I could get through Survival mode without the mod that lets you save whenever lol. Too much time lost when I get blown to hell by a missile that I didn't see coming.
