I am tempted to hold off on buying it right now until it gets a deeper sale, as I am knee-deep in divinity: original sin 1 at the moment, but if it's worth it I'd buy the game to reward Obsidian for doing good work.

Separate note, D:OS traps are fucking bullshit.

It is fantastic.

Combat becomes very easy once you get past first initial point, but still a fun game.

It's worth a buy, for sure.

The only problem I had was the ending. I did two playthroughs and it just sorta ends... abruptly.

the story and settings is good, the gameplay is okay i guess. it's just a simpler version of pillars of eternity. the spell creation is fantastic and how it ties into the lore is great. the choices and consequences is great. it's almost like witcher 2 deal, where after the first chapter you choose 2 major factions and a good chunk of dialogue and choices is gonna locked up. the conquest system is a great way to start the game and the impact is visible on the gameworld.

however i hate the skill check system and the levelling system. the ending is also cliffhangery in a bad way. it's like reading a good book but the last chapter is missing.

i think it's worth it with a discount, but if not i would probably wait till they have new content (i think an expansion is worked on i dunno)

yeah, does end very suddenly and leveling can be irksome - certainly for NPCs you dont keep in your party.

Spell stuff is fantastic as said, and one of best bits of it all really.

and you get to choose between 4 factions really, all with own variations - even if often go to same places.

hm. if theyre gonna make an expansion i will def wait and buy the first 'combined pack'

i guess i'll just snag stellaris to occupy me once I finish D:OS
