Just making this curious to see how many people truly love what they do

I know I dont. I hate working at Subway.

My gf told me that majority of people dont like their jobs but they have to do it to pay the bills

Meh. It's alright but because I work at a private school and the program I teach is their most expensive program, the parents are somewhat assholes. With it being an ESL program they want me to teach them the vocab that is directly out of the book. One of the parents, a loud mouthed fat bitch who doesn't shut up at meetings, complained about the vocab. Her complaint? That I was teaching them the plural versions of certain words. She sent a text to my Thai co-teacher bitching about it. The thing is, the book literally has the vocab listed as plural. The words? Minerals, factors, ingredients and benefits.

Yes. Internet is down so I get to play video games

I enjoy my work, I get along with everyone in my office really well and people around the business are decent enough. And the company is big enough that most days are different so it's not too monotonous. Although in IT support a lot of the jobs you do are very similar. Get days where you get annoyed by things but that happens to everyone and even outside work.

Love my job man. Web development for a small firm. I feel like a rock star when I figure out tough issues

I'm treated really well at my job and generally left to my own devices. The work itself is okay. It's a good mix of difficult and easy work. I more or less get to make my own hours. Most of the people that I work with are nice too.

Besides higher pay, I can't think of much that I would like to change about it.

Yes, I do the only thing that sucks is the management. They sit in their offices all day and complain that no one is doing any work, which is false. I always finish my work within 3 or 4 hours and I just play video games for the rest of my day. I mostly work 7 days a week because I work in an animal lab and my supervisor doesn't get paid to work on weekends because he's salaried and I'm not.

Sometimes I do, but lately it's been a real drag. Honestly I'd love to have a job where I can be outside, and not always at the same place, but at this point a career change is out of the question.

Did you tell her that it's not her who dictates the curriculum?

it's mostly because of my boss, though.

I work in one of the departments at a college, and we're processing a bunch of graduation stuff, so it's especially stressful right now.

I don't mind it, but I would prefer something more in line with my educational goals. I currently work as a courtesy clerk at Safeway, but would prefer an accounting job.

In healthcare.

Love my job. Regular hours, minimal weekends, good pay, and generally a relaxing atmosphere. I actually don't dread going to work every day.

Been private security for 6 years now. Some sites I love and others I hate (like the one I'm at now).

I'm going to be a asset protection supervisor now, which I love. I did it before for like 4 months but had to leave due to elimination of positions. Only have 5 working days left at my current gig.
