WHAT IF you come back....and like....you get eaten.

I just want to come back as myself and relive the same life over and over again

That or Queen Elizabeth II so I can look at my naked body in the mirror all day long

Doesn't that lock you up as being reincarnated as insects for the eternity? You can't exactly redeem yourself because there are no good or bad mosquitos.

there was a short story I read once where someone finds out that they are everything in the universe. they die and meet God and are told that the entire universe was made for them and that every single life in it is them in a different reincarnation. and that once they live out every life in the universe, they will ascend and be a god too.

Well since there are no bad mosquitos you probably move a bit up the ladder and get reincarnated as an astigmatic chihuahua or something

No, I'm not afraid of things that aren't real.

And even if it was real, most reincarnation procedures erase your memory at least while you're living the new life. So, even if it was real, it wouldn't be the "me" that would be experiencing them - so I'm not afraid. Though, usually, once you re-incarnate, your experiences join some sort of "collective you" and you (hopefully) get closer to achieving enlightenment (or whatever you wanna call it). Regardless, the you now shouldn't be afraid of what another "you" will experience.

No he doesn't. He's afraid for his own life, but he's not afraid for any future life that he might be reincarnated into. Yeah, if you're living the life, it makes sense to be afraid. If you're not, it doesn't.
