at post # 2, why is the text so tiny, why is the entire page nothing but blank space but the green text on a yellow background (who does that) is tiny and shunted to one side instead of big and you know, occupying the entire space and area to be fully legible?

It's 4chan, they haven't changed the overall style of the message boards since it started in 2003.

4chan has something like 11 million monthly users and if you post a topic it's often buried within minutes and deleted from the board for "falling of the end". It's random chaos with a whole lot of subculture. They specifically don't want fancy message boards. They like it scummy.
