Not necessarily because they aged poorly (this is often the case, though) but perhaps it's just bare, boring, not as fun as you remembered it being.

I tried out Destroy All Humans recently and it's just not engaging me. It's good if you're in the mood for it. It's pretty quirky and is a unique PS2 game.

Other than that, I like to think I can enjoy most games. I can even fire up GTA 3 and still have fun.

Almost every RPG.

I almost never finish them. I want to go back to finish, but I can't go back to a start where I left off since then I don't remember what I've done and stuff. But I've also spent loads of hours on the game and I don't feel like restarting.

Sometimes it's easier to bite the bullet and restart. If you forgot the game anyways, you might enjoy it more a second time around.

I may have forgotten things about the game, but I don't forget the effort and time I spent on it. I usually go full out on games, find every item, explore everything etc...

every couple of years or so, a buddy and I will sit down and play through Superhuman difficulty on Resistance FoM or 3. We tried to do FoM a few weeks ago and it was just so boring. I don't know what happened, we both loved that game but it seriously just can't pull us in.

I have this extreme mental block that stops me from playing the previous entry in a series until it becomes nostalgic or classic.

Like I will refuse to put it in the console or pick up the controller if my friend is playing it.

I can't go back to marvel heroes anymore because so much has changed since i last played. I have no idea whats going on anymore with items, skills, etc. My inventory is overflowing with 10 billion things. Sorta want to go back, but just isn't worth figuring it all out again to, in all likelihood, just run around the same areas pounding the same enemies.

Secret of Mana. As a kid I thought it was the best game ever because:

1. It was like Zelda meets Final Fantasy! WOW!
2. The art and music were beautiful

Too bad I realized the actual plot and gameplay are bad

Bloodborne. I got the Platinum in one playthrough so I wouldn't feel obligated to beat it again. The lore is pretty good, but the gameplay is more frustrating than fun and there's virtually no build variety compared to Souls. And the Chalice Dungeons were about as shitty of an idea as World Tendency in DeS.

I tell myself to move on from everquest. That game was perfect for me. The challenge, teamwork, comradery, and adventure were recipes that kept me playing for over a decade. I would play everquest again eventually. I've been missing it. Games i play have an aspect were details can be relatable to everquest.

The challenge of everquest was difficult. This was one of the 1st mmo where you can feel overwhelmed. Everything was an overload. Presentation, graphics, gameplay, chat. You name it.

gg Teamwork. It's about getting to a certain level of skill and gameplay then using it to gain phat lewts together. Individually you can get to a certain point where best high end gear comes from great groups and guilds.

You can be part of an effective team and foster a positive relationship with others. I know ... but the community was the 1st time I experienced online friendship and kindness of others. It can also be a place of revenge through pvp and gvg. Also, nobody wants to be left behind and push each other towards better everythings. Your choice. It can feel like a virtual place were you belong, you know.

Miss me mortals? What game would bring all peoples together with the lore. The story is rich of details and its deep. Its still something i want to see collected in a book series. Lore is something I checkout in different mmos and by far, everquest is the one that goes beyond my wildest imagination yearning for more. I visit the lore section of these mmos and the content is new for the most part and will take time to develop.

All good things must come to an end?? Everquest is a game I can't go back to. These reasons were off the top of my head. I guess it can generally be the reasons to play any other game. It's just everquest just isn't any other game.

Phoenix Wright, not because I think anything is wrong with the games but what's the point of replaying a murder mystery once you know who did it and how?

That said they are great during the first play through.

Fallout 3

I think I did virtually everything humanly possible in this game. 3 playthroughs, one good, one bad, one neutral. Got all the achievements, finished all the side quests, found every location, got every rare weapon and armor piece. There is virtually nothing left for me to do if I ever went back.

I'll have to agree with Fallout 3 or other open world games. Once I do all that's interesting, I really have no desire to replay for a long long time if ever.
