I used to wear contacts all the time but my optometrist said my eyes are unhealthy. I've worn my glasses for 2 years now and I hate them.

They feel heavy on my face and make me feel like I'm seeing life through a window. Its like I'm disconnected from reality.

Unhealthy how?

Did you not take care of your lenses? Wear them improperly or use a cheap storing saline? Be a bit more specific about "unhealthy".

I was wearing my contacts from morning til when I got to bed. Apparently my eyes weren't getting enough oxygen and i was developing blood vessels in my eye. She tried switching me to more advanced lenses but I had an allergic reaction to all brands and she refused to prescribe my old brand.

See a different doctor, get the ones you used to have and don't wear them longer than 8 hours max per day. Go somewhere like Walmart where you can get what you need and they aren't going to give you a hard time about it.

I had that issue for awhile with the blood vessels forming due to contacts. It got so bad at times I couldn't drive the sun was just way to bright for me to open my eyes. Then I discovered LASIK. My life is now complete.
