I'd hate to see what new kinds of diseases this would create.

It'll reverse aging, but that won't grow new cartilage. Imagine looking young, but you have crippling arthritis in every joint. Also cataracts.

So this isn't really actually reverse aging. That's still decades away?

I'm excited about the prospect and then again I'm not.

Let's say I'm wealthy in 5 years from now. I'm 36 at that point. If they can stop me from aging, but they can't make me any younger, then I live in jealousy of those who are able to remain in their 20s. And what if they can make me younger? Can I be 26 again? Can I be 21 again?

What about a guy like Donald Trump? Is he going to make himself 30 again and systematically dump all of his wives and girlfriends once they hit 25? Is he going to live indefinitely or is reverse-aging a one-time process?

Is the boxing scene of the next 20 years going to consist of Floyd Mayweather using his speed and defensive skills to win boring matches on points with the hope that the next boxer might do him in? Is Scarlet Johansson going to star in the Ghost in a Shell remake 30 years from now?

How far back can you reverse aging? Is there gonna be an adult star who makes herself physically 12 so that she can appeal to all the pedophiles? There are enough people on registered offender lists to know that there's money in that.

The idea of eternal youth or restored youth is great, but I don't think I'd exactly want to sell it on the market to the super-rich and leave everyone else to the decay of normal existence.

Eternal youth would cause new problems. But new problems help create new solutions.
