Starting at 500 and working my way to 1, beginning of the album to the end.

I'm also trying not to spoil what is all on the list. However, I did look at this Wikipedia article https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rolling_Stone%27s_500_Greatest_Albums_of_All_Time
And it gives a count of who has how many records on it.

So far I've finished

500- OutKast- Aquemini and it is really really good. It has Rosa Parks on it which I didn't know came out in 1998. This one really took me by surprise on how much I liked it.

499- BB King: Live In The Cook County Jail It's not really my thing. My dad loves BB King and saw him in concert a few times. He's talented for sure though.

498- Stone Roses: The Stone Roses- I've heard of these guys but couldn't point to any song and say "Hey, that's The Stone Roses!" First two tracks were meh but the rest of the CD picked up a lot. It's pretty good. The last two tracks lost me though. 8 minutes and 10 minutes long? Let's hope The Grateful Dead isn't on here.

I've been listening to podcasts the past few weeks and I need a break. It's something interesting to do for me and hopefully expands my music preferences a bit.

I pretty much did what you're doing TC, but I didn't make it through all 500. If you're going to do this, you should at least listen to the original incarnation of the 500 list.

The original list was created by an aggregate of votes from musicians, critics, and (I think) producers. Some albums on the current list as it is now were shoehorned in to better reflect their top 100 albums of 80s, 90s, and 00s. There was no re-vote to substantiate changing it, however. It was an editorial decision.

For the most part, but I think about 40 albums from the original list were removed by editors and, in my opinion, several that deserved to be on the list were taken off for several that didn't deserve to be.

No Pink Floyd in the top 10 but 3 Beatles and 2 Bob Dylan albums. Fucking joke list.

100% agreed. Beatles are the most overrated band of all time.

I really like the Beatles and can admit they are a little overrated. I don't think they need 3 albums in the top 10 though.
