Calling it now, things between Russia, US, and Syria will keep escalating until a "great deal" is struck, peace is restored, and the only price the US has to pay for Russian cooperation is lifting the sanctions on Russia

Count on it

Sigh.
Yesterday - "Trump is racist! He doesn't care about SYRIA"

Today - "Trump is a maniac! He helped Syria!"

Liberals, smgdh.

Try looking at the surface issue. Trump isn't the problem. Assad isn't the problem. Russia isn't the problem. What is the common theme here? What is the root cause of middle eastern conflict?
We all know, but liberalfaqs won't allow anyone to say it.

ppssssst.
There's a non-violent way of helping Syrians. (Not that I support it.)
It's called taking in refugees.

Dumb ass.

Sad!

I'm not a Liberal though. I'm literally a Conservative that voted for Trump. It's pretty obvious that this whole thing was a false flag, if you can be bothered to do actual research into recent events and the conflict that took place back in 2013. Neoliberals and Neocons have been trying to get Assad out for a while now, and this was the perfect opportunity to pressure Trump into enacting that.

Trump supporters during the election told us that Hillarys aggression towards Russia would lead us to WW3 and thus Trump being friendly with Putin is a good thing. Interesting how your view is changed now.

Russia is mad at the US for the events in Syria.

If Trump was colluding with Russia - or was buddy-buddy with Putin, why, pray-tell, would he have ordered this attack if he KNEW Putin was against it?

real talk: if the russian concession is letting assad's regime fall and setting up a new regime that is democratically elected by what little remains of syria, our sanctions are a price worth paying

There is zero benefit. He's currently in power and in peace talks. In fact, the day the supposed chemical attack took place, was the day before peace talks were to resume in Brussels. Why would a person who is already in power, has a stronger position than he's ever had in peace negotiations, and knows that the world has drawn a line in the sand with chemical attacks, use a chemical weapon to kill his own people? Why?

This would not have been necessary if Obama had done his job 4 years ago when he drew his "line in the sand." 200,000 to 400,000 Syrians dead because this fool did nothing yet some people itt like to look the other way.

Obama asked Congress for approval to attack Syria, but the GOP voted against it.

The main issue was against ISIS and Syria was an afterthought and it wasn't the GOP that had it shut down, it was both parties that made it DOA. Obama's AUMF was severely flawed because it was too restricting and had no real timetable.

seeing that most of the missiles apparently missed, i dont think russia really cares. hell i'd be surprised if they did since no country wants to be called out for supporting blatantly obvious war crimes.
