Wireless, around the ears, sound isolating headphones would be nice.

I really like the Bose but they're so damn expensive;

Anyone have any good recommendations?

I would rather get these:

I actually have the Bose QC35 in the black, but the sound has always been reviewed that it's nothing particularly special. The Sony's have everything as the QC35, but a lot more bells and whistles. Plus they're down from the regular price point of $400. If you have the money to splurge, definitely go with the Sony.

Thanks

Seems like thats the going rate for a pair of headphones like these. Kinda sucks, I'd rather not spend that kinda money but I really want something like this.

At least you know what true value of headphones you're looking into instead of just dumping money on trendy brands such as Beats that costs as much, but nothing special at all.

They are pretty comfy compared to a few of the over the ear headphones I've had. No such clamping force or discomfort, but it does get pretty warm to the ears. The headphones have software updates, but I kept with the one shipped from the box because very many users complained about the terrible audio quality after the update. I think Bose came up with a fix to be able to downgrade and revert to the shipped firmware, but that's still a pretty disappointin issue.

If anything, I'd like to trade these up for the Sony ones because I've had my eyes on them ever since it was first announced. You should try to watch the launch product video to see what kind of bells and whistles I was talking about.

Cool I didnt know that. Its a neat feature (firmware updates on headphones) but only if they get it right

Funny enough, I asked this question on the R&HH board and almost everyone there said to get Beats. I already know about them so I was hoping for other answers.

Well, it's your money and decision of what you decide to drop on. Maybe it's just me that I don't like to follow the mainstream of Beats, but I like to look elsewhere of what's the best for my money to spend on.

The Bose I got was actually a rewards sort of thing so maybe I don't have a big attachment to it, but it's still a very great pair of headphones. Weirdly enough when I did Google research, my Google Now cards kept showing me all kinds of review sites saying the Sony 1000x can give the QC35 a run for its money. Really just makes me roll my eyes and complain why the rewards thing didn't have the Sony in their catalog. Lol

I've always had good luck with Sony products so I'm inclined to give it a strong consideration.

I also had a pair of the Bose earbuds before and they were very good. I've tried the Bose QC35 in store and I was impressed.
