It must be the difference. For me, when I get Subway, it's as fresh as it could be, as if I just bought it myself from a supermarket and sliced it all up. Nothing "dehydrated" about it.

Yeah, both the ones around here are pretty fresh, too.

actually, it reminds me of the problem I always have with them. how do you store them in the fridge? there's SO much moisture in there that if you keep it enclosed in the bag, it all soaks into the bun and you end up with a pretty mushy sandwich the next day. I tried leaving the bag open once, but then the bun just goes stale; mushy is preferable.

This is just with what I've seen; I imagine someone who has actually worked there has seen worse. And then there's the fact that with a drive-thru you can't see the quantity.

see above and the cheese is actually the second thing they put on. meat first, cheese, then everything else, so this just wouldn't even happen.

I was referring to the customer from the start. I guess I could have been more clear on that front. How would a drive-thru even increase employee ****-ups?

Drive thrus are a garbage concept and I will forever judge people for using them. I loathe the idea.

if I have the time I will always choose Jersey Mike's over Subway, if I'm stuck on time though I go to Subway. I can usually be in and out of my subway by work in 5-10 minutes.

Yeah. Subway sandwhiches mysteriously become mushy after a few hours of being done. I blame the sweet onion sauce.

no, the fact that they don't suck means they don't suck 8)

but really, it obviously depends on the particular store and the particular management. some of them are so penny pinching, they use the same bucket of lettuce for two days. others strictly toss out anything that's more than X hours old, etc.

Well I haven't been to a Subway in years that had good veggies and considering they're all over the place, I've been to quite a few of them

In my experience Subways are chronically understaffed.

The Subway near me has a drive-thru, but more often than not they will fuck it up unless you go inside.

I think it's just too much for them to handle at once. Not knocking them, I have such ADHD that I'd probably mess it up too. Especially if they have a thick accent.
