I am a security guard. Sometimes I'm doing a whole day (well, 18 hour) thing and sometimes I'm not thing. Most shifts are 12 hours. It's all fucked up. Securing these garages.

Beer is just about the only alcohol I can drink sensibly. Everything else is too strong and goes down too quickly, or doesn't taste sufficiently enough of alcohol and I midjudge horribly.

Ripper hangovers from beer, though.

i have a problem where beer goes down really, really easily.

cider is even easier though. when i was in edinburgh we were at hollyrood 9A and I had a couple pints of thistly cross' whiskey barrel aged still cider and I had to make myself stop or i'd down the whole damn thing in one sip

similar story with brewdog.

Nice pub. There's a lot of great places in the Old town, I was thinking of moving there actually.

yeah, we were loving the bars and restaurants over there. we dropped into the area for the one bad fringe show of the week, which was an irish comics short series that was...not good. but the food and drink were well worth getting into the area. had the best haggis pie of the trip at a place near there.

we were staying on south bridge by the piemaker, so not too far, but it was not near the other comic venues

Gosh, Edinburgh during the fringe can be a bit wild. South bridge in particular has some great bars. The Captain's Bar is maybe one of the best folk venues in the UK, and across the road is The Brass Monkey, the entire pub is made up of beds. I spend a lot of time there.

yeah the city was packed. we actually didn't see many paid shows which i kinda regret (unless you count the pound we drop in the bucket after each free show). I don't think we got to either captain's or brass monkey though, but we were in like 6+ bars a day so I might be forgetting them.

I like Beer for not being strong. If I wanna get drunk it's cheaper and faster just to cheap Alcohol from the Store.
