My friends smoke this brand of cigs:

American Spirit. Which are at least 7-9 dollars a pack here.

I bought a whole carton on vacation for them for thirty bux. Thats three dollars a pack.

So a carton here would be anywhere from 70-90 dollars. without all that tax it can be sold for thirty bux.

I mean I knew tobacco was taxed to hell and back but goddam. I even saw deals where you get 2(or sometimes 3 i think) cartons of cigs(other brands) for around the price of one carton here.

@Erik_P if you still don't understand it things cost different in different parts of the country and you saying "duh supply and demand" doesn't change that

We have proof here cigs with no tax are sold at a pretty reasonable price(30 dollars for 200 cigs, aka 3 dollars for 20 or one pack), and in mainland america with tax and duty they are(at least in PA, where I live) 70+ dollars a carton.

He couldn't wrap his mind around that things cost different in other states and just keep saying "supply and demand"
Packs are about 5-7 here depending on brand before tax.
