I'm nervous to rely on Amazon Prime for such a coveted item right now, but I really can't think of anything else to get her. My other option might be a Pandora charm bracelet.

Asked my mom to help me track one down at Gamestop, who said they might have them in today... but it's still a shot in the dark. They said it was a first come first serve basis, and I work 8-5 Mon-Fri.

I've checked Walmart, Target, and Bestbuy. Just like I suspected, they were cleaned out. I figured they would be, it was just one of those things you have to check to make sure anyways.

I also thought it'd be a great way to introduce her to Zelda games since the Switch has like nothing right now.

Is she the type that actually likes Pandora charm bracelet? Imo those are way too expensive for what they're actually worth. The markup is insane. You can buy like kind and quality charms in bulk for $2.25 a piece. Plus most women I know that have them only wear them for a short time and then they just put them away.

Much of what you've pointed out I've heard many times before, but she is one of those girls who appreciates the effort more than the gift itself. If I played the "clueless guy" card and found her something like one of those bracelets, my efforts would be appreciated. I doubt she knows that I've even heard of Pandora.

My concern is that I would find a nice alternative that she knows what the cost is, and I don't want it to seem like I skimped out on her gift. Would it be practical, absolutely, but if I got her an alternative, I would feel bad for not finding cute charms in time to go with it. I'm not usually a procrastinator, but the past few weeks have been busy and this time it sneaked up on me pretty quick.

She's a gamer, but she is also very much a girly girl. Jewelry is a department that intimidates the bejesus out of me lol.

If you're really interested you could try to find a bulk bead store. they will have a TON of charms. and while the cost is low you will have more options to try to make a more personalized bracelet for her if that's really what she would value over the cost. it will be a similar kind and quality as the pandora but way more cost effective and then you could take her out to a really fancy dinner or something too.

Update: my mom actually helped me find the Switch a few minutes ago, so it looks like that's the route I'm on for this birthday. I love the Pandora bracelet alternative, and I'll probably use that advice you gave about the charms, too. Awesome!

...huh? Oh, no, she said she was happy to help me out because I fixed her laptop last week... they're on great terms. Always have been. They text each other and make fun of me all the time for stupid crap. Lol

Edit: wait I'm still confused. Did you mean so my fiance wouldn't hate my mom, or so my mom wouldn't hate my fiance? I fixed my mom's computer last week and she insisted on paying me, and I refused. She said she was happy to go to Gamestop for me to help me get my fiance a present. I gave her my credit card to use.
