Nicknames are rad. I always wanted one when I was a kid, but never had one. In the past year, the old ladies in the restaurant where I sometimes do work started calling me "Gravy." I love it.

No interesting story to it. I just like gravy is all. Totally amped being called it.

I know, right? I have like a billion names for her, but I mostly call her Monkey. It's sort of caught on with our friends and family, too.

HashBrown was my stoner name ever since high school.
i also used to have the nickname Boots in high school because I always wore boots, even in gym class, and then it continued when I went into JROTC.

Duck or Ducky. Either works. My name is Dustin, and when I was born, my brother was 2. It was supposed to be Dusty, but he was calling me Ducksty, and Duckstin. It eventually just got shortened to Duck. I can't really say I'm glad about that, but I was raised answering to that, so I don't even notice.

My nickname is Fro. In highschool I stopped cutting my hair at let it grow out over a foot long. Since I have really curly hair I was able to take a pick to it and fluff it into one of the largest afros you've ever seen. Being a white guy with a comically large afro it became a part of my identity.

They called me Mr Glass.

Seriously though, I've had several. Can't say the main one in fear of being identified, but they also used to call me Shaq because of my height and ability to fucking kick ass in basketball. Always the first to get picked in team games. Also "Computer Genius" or "The Hacker" for obvious reasons lol.

Come to think of it, I don't think many people had nicknames at my high school. Just people getting called by their last names.

I guess the only one that I can even really think of was this sketchy loner guy that everyone called "the Dirty Wizard"

Spark / Sparky / Sparks

Back in middle school, my group of friends had two people with my name (me being one of them obv). My last name is short and easy to say, and his is pretty long, so people called me by my last name instead. One time, after we all got done smoking, a friend accidentally called me "Spark". It stuck.

Bubba/Bubbie - from my sister. She had a hard time saying brother when she was a kid, and it stuck.

JC - initials. I had several friends in high school that called me this.

Jerk - one of those friends took it a little far, and included my middle initial. JRC

Party - one of my high school friends I was in a band with called me this before switching to JC. It had to have been ironic, cuz the only parties I went to were of the LAN variety.

Jurd - my best friends in college gave each other "hick"names. Michael became Mack, J became Joe, Nathan became Natch, and I became Jurd.

For the record, I prefer being called by my given name. People just always want to call me something else.

Oh, when I was a freshman in college I was in a group with this stereotypical small and quiet Asian guy. Really nice dude, but really introverted and studious.

We nicknamed him Jaegermeister.
