Of course you have pineapple pizza w/ tomato sauce! They go so well together. Like someone else said, zestiness of the tomato sauce combined w/ sweetness of the pineapple is perfect.

I can't wait for someone to make Indian pizza where they use curry sause instead of tomato sause. and before you say "that insane", there is BBQ, alfredo and pesto sauced pizza. I'm not big on BBQ sauced pizza, but it's still good.

Can't wait for middle eastern/thai pizza, where they use naan bread as the base and use hummas as the sause.

All of those sound delicious! I do like BBQ pizza, too. I haven't tried any of the ones you listed, but I like making "taco pizza": salsa instead of tomato sauce, then put taco cheese, taco seasoned ground beef, lettuce, and tomato on top. So good.

The tomato sauce is underneath the cheese... it's part of the Pizza. Without some type of sauce it's just cheese-toast.

If you really don't like tomato and pineapple together, at least drizzle some olive oil on the crust before adding the cheese!

Side note, pineapple is typically paired with Canadian bacon. Some like pepperoni though.

@helly You're probably to old to enjoy pineapple on pizza. You don't mess with the classic pepperoni. But ham and pineapple is still good. It's super sweet compared to the classic pizza.

it's like you always eat chocolate ice cream. you want to try a different flavor of ice cream excepting it to taste comparable to chocolate ice cream... lets you tasted rocky road flavor ice cream for the first time. It's still good, but it's not life changing or as good as chocolate ice cream and you probably won't switch if you had a choice. But if someone hands you a rocky road ice cream you will still take it and enjoy it.

there's a pizza buffet place called pizza ranch, I want to go to soon, usually a pizza buffet will have pineapple pizza so that will probably be how I try it
