I have absolutely no idea what I want to do in life. I hate my current job and I hate how people are acting like sucking it up and going is the way to live; it's not

I like to work, I just can't stand life after graduating, it was so easy just going through school, etc. I just don't think joining the fight because I'm "lost" is a valid reason to apply and idk how a recruiter would take that lol

Anybody have any experience in this? coulda sworn there were a couple of posters here who did service time

Never joined myself (had plenty of family members who done so), but if you were good in school and if you took the ASVAB (?) test (not sure if the military still give it out), then you could join the Air Force Reserve and look into college/GI Bill options.

I mean, 4 Years of your life (if we don't get into large scale War) is a good way to earn money, pay for College and see the world on the Gov't dime.

Just try to get into a field that fits your interests.

They would take whatever you said because recruiters don't care. They just want to get paid.

tc is likely not tough enough to make it through marine boot and likely not smart enough to be considered for the af

If TC is who I think he is, he's a public accountant so yes.

Trump's probably gonna get us into a war with someone, so I'd wait until we elect a new president.

if thats the case, then absolutely do not enlist. Go Air Force OTS. Couple weeks of training gets you your butter bar, you actually get paid a shit load of money (when you consider they pay for your housing and groceries as well as your actual pay. you can serve your country in a meaningful way, and retire when you're 40 making more money than most people you know either as a Col. or Lt. Col

Unless you've got what it takes and truly want to be a marine, don't. it takes a special breed, and as long as you're decently smart, you can take that and thrive in the AF without getting fucked over by uncle sam, and also with generally no chance of PTSD or death.
