Fake boobs are gross. They don't look like boobs, they look like domes placed on somebody's chest. The way they look is like how children who have never seen boobs before draw boobs (or just people who are really bad at drawing).


I'm sure somebody will say "Of course they look bad if you can tell they're fake", and while I admit that maybe there have been ones I've seen while having no idea they were fake, I got two words for you: Pamela Anderson. Clearly fake-looking as hell and I always thought she was gross but she was one of the most popular "hot" women in the 90's and early 00's.

I'm not a particular fan of them but I wouldn't consider them a deal breaker.

I'm sure women who do it have their own reasons. I'm just giving mine for why fake boobs don't attract me, whether that's their intended purpose or not.

A well done pair of fake tits can be just as awesome as real ones. My sister in law has an amazing set. I honestly couldn't tell they were enhanced despite having already been told.

The thing is though, she was smart about it. She didn't go to some budget boob shop and didn't go bigger than her body could handle. Her implants are also under the muscle which makes a big difference.

Eh, I can't really fault women for the way their boobs look naturally. I'd rather have ugly real ones than ugly fake ones

I'm not sure what you mean by this. I guess I'm not a fan of "natural" beauty either if you mean unkempt hair, unshaved body hair, no makeup, etc., but there's a fine line between hygiene/fashion and artificial beauty.

In the United Kingdom where I am there is a newspaper called The Sun and they used to have a feature called Page 3 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Page_3) where they showed a topless picture of a young woman.

Now in the mid 1990's they allowed women with fake boobs to appear in it but then around 1997-98 they took a readers vote on whether fake boobs should be in Page 3 and the overwhelming majority said "no"! So from that point on models with fake boobs were banned and only natural women were allowed.

I have never understood why women feel the need to ruin their bodies by stuffing bags of silicone into their breasts. IMO silicone implants are one of the worst inventions ever.

I don't prefer them but I guess I don't mind them. Even if they're obviously fake they're usually fine to look at. Never touched a fake pair so unless they feel really silly I dunno if that would change my opinion.

Other than the human tendency to express themselves and desire to find a mate, that is.

Try this, again in the UK there are late night satellite channels where you can phone the topless women you see on the screen.

That is the daytime version of a channel called Babestation. At night they go topless. You can phone in and chat to the women.

As you can see the makers of that channel have an infatuation with fake boobs. In all the years that channel and the other like it have been on air I can count on three fingers the number of natural breasted women they have had on that channel.

Now they say she left because she wanted to pursue an acting career but I reckon she was fired as she was all natural and not covered in tattoos, siliconed to buggery and lip injected to all hells which is what the owners of these channels think is sexy.

Getting fake boobs is a pretty permanent thing (well, I know they can get removed, but they aren't like contact lens you put in and take out every day). It's fundamentally changing what people want to say their body is, as opposed to how they want to present it on a day-to-day basis. Sometimes a man likes to go clean-shaven, other times he might grow out his beard. Women might wear makeup on some days but not every day. People change up their hair styles and wear different clothes for different occasions.

Maybe I'm not really drawing a clear line here, but I'd just go back to what you originally said - that you don't like natural beauty, so fake boobs are okay with you. That's a faulty line of logic; people are attracted to whatever they are attracted to. I'd prefer my women to shave, but that doesn't mean I'm obligated to like them to be caked in makeup or get a boob job just because all of those things are "artificial". If that's your logic for liking fake boobs, that's fine, but I hope you aren't trying to make it out like the people who don't like them are hypocrites.

Fake boobs don't look right. I know people like to say "You only notice them when they are bad!".

What does permanence have to do with this?

What relevant difference is there between someone that gets clean shaven every day from puberty 'tll death, and someone that lasers off all their facial hair. The end result is the same.

I don't know man, we could split hairs over it back and forth for a while, but all that really matters to me is I don't find it attractive. If you find it attractive then that's fine, but don't insinuate that everyone else is obligated to like it just because we enjoy other "artificial" things.

I said no such thing. Ever. I do not care what you do or don't like.

You said there was a fine line between "fashion" and "artificial beauty". I asked some questions about where that line is. You said something about permanence. I asked why permanence, by pointing to two identical outcomes of different beauty procedures - one permanent, one not. It's not splitting hairs if we can establish that the line is at permanence. But instead of arguing that, you flee out the back door by saying it's "splitting hairs". It's not exactly splitting hairs to answer the whole fucking question from the start. It just turned out we needed to go down a few levels before we could go back up to the top and address the core issue.

If I'm insinuating anything, it's not one what other's preferences should be (because lord knows mine are weird enough that I wouldn't inflict them on anyone) but on dropping the pretense of "fakeness" having any importance.

You know what "looks fake" to me? Everything. Using enough makeup to achieve that 'no makeup' look is its own form of Supernormal Stimulus. Anything we can do to change our looks, from the way we style our hair, to the clothes we put on, to the implants we put in our bodies are intended to convey a certain constructed image. To criticize someone for one aspect of that construct, simply for being a construction is extremely naive.

It's also somewhat hypocritical, yes. Contradictory might be a better word since it lacks the moral judgment (and I'm not making a moral judgment). Because unless you walk out of your home naked, without combing you're hair, then you're doing it too. You have your own constructed images* . It's just a question of degree. Some people keep it to a minimal degree, and there's some people that get breast implants and full body tattoos. Now, you can object to the degree it's being taken to when someone gets implants. You can object to where something falls on the spectrum. I have no argument with that. I have an issue with the basis of criticism.




*(even if that image only says, "I'm only wearing this so I won't get arrested/kicked out of the McDonalds while I'm waiting for my cheeseburger". But I consider that more a practical concern, which I already said I'm not talking about. Our social taboos may be artificial, but when there's animals out there that will capture you for not following them, it becomes a practical matter. It's hard to pick up your Big Mac from jail)

When I say "natural beauty". I mean what I think most people mean. I don't mean what I mean by it.
