Like do you define it by state? Like I know you'd consider Texas or like Tennessee "country" but what about Dallas or Memphis? Would you still consider that "country"???

It's when I hear americans talk about city folk and country folk and shit like that

Okay how do you define it????? Is it more just rural setting as opposed to urban setting like the rest of us define it?

You mean county? A county is a predesignated area of land. A city is a town with a specific amount of people. A country is a nation with borders.

There's a walmart 5 minutes from me, and I'd call my town country. There's more cows than people here.

Population density. Simple as that. As to where the cut off is, I've never had to compare places where it wasn't obvious. If it's gray area, it's either "suburb" or "middle of nowhere" from the city's point of view.

Sometimes it is used a regional term for anywhere in the deep south. Otherwise its basically the equivalent of rural.

I think you're right but I wonder where the cutoff is.

I think you mean urban vs rural. It goes by population density.
NY City has over 27,000 people per square mile.
Cresbard, South Dakota has 247.6 people per square mile.

The terms city folk and country folk aren't that widely used but, as far as cities go, not all cities are associated with "city folk," that's really just more places like NYC, LA, etc.

With traffic it probably takes you three hours to get to them though.

The closest walmarts are in LI or on the way there (or in Jersey) and neither of those is 30 mins by car. 40-60.
