It's not my personal preference, in that I wouldn't go out of my way to get pizza with pineapples on it. However, if the only pizza available has pineapples on it, then I will have a piece or two.

Meh. I haven't fought him/it yet, so I can't say for sure. But I wish they would just call it Ganon. Saying Calamity Ganon is just a mouthful. I'm glad it's Ganon though, but honestly, the purple hazy dragon could literally have been anything. Again, I haven't fought him yet, so maybe he will take on a human form, but I dunno.

The implication seems to be that lifespans in Hyrule are pretty long. For the Zoras in particular, most of them knew Link already.

One thing that kinda confuses me is that Wind Waker pretty strongly suggested that the Rito were evolved Zoras (Medli's ancestor was a Zora), but both Rito and Zoras are present here.

I feel like Zelda storylines are so full of plotholes, especially when you go across games and get into the dreaded timeline, that of all the things to wonder about this is so minor.


It doesn't bother me so much from a storyline perspective, but I find it slightly irritating how the game obviously seems to be a "greatest hits" of famous races from the series. I guess it's cool to have them all, but couldn't they have at least added a new race? There is an entire underdeveloped region in the southeast that would have been awesome if it had more plot significance, and maybe a new race besides some stereotypical island-type people.

I was kinda of disappointed in how underdeveloped the whole Faron region was. It's this cool jungle place, but there's nothing really there. I actually kind of wonder if they were planning a fifth Divine Beast when they designed the region, especially where there are references to a tribe of people in the area (the Barbarian set in particular).

Isn't the DLC believed to be another Divine Beast or something similar resembling a dungeon? Maybe that's what they'll do with it, but still kind of disappointing if it is only DLC. I don't want to buy DLC that feels like it should be part of the main game.

Are you over the initial euphoria over the game and now are finding yourself less excited as you grind it out to complete the tedious plot details?

It goes far beyond new Hyrulian races. They need to totally rethink what NPCs exist to do and how the towns function. I mean besides the way they look, all the towns are basically the same thing - a collection of stores and not much else.

I mean sure, I've played enough hours to pass the initial surprise and occasional "YAASSS" moment, but I still am having a great time. It's not feeling monotonous or anything. I'm still getting enjoyment out of turning on the treasure chest locator/shrine locator, and just wandering around empty areas seeing where it takes me. As far as the plot is concerned, I have already done the 4 divine beasts and gotten the **ITEM SPOILERS THAT SHOULDN'T REALLY BE SPOILERS CONSIDERING IT'S A ZELDA GAME**

Master Sword

and I've at least set foot into Hyrule Castle, though I got distracted when I saw a shooting star and left to do more exploring. Not really in any rush to beat the game, but I could if I wanted to at this point.

hink of it as an alternative universe where not all zoras evolved.

One of the DLC's adds a dungeon, and I believe that comes along with more story. They might set it in that region, in which case that would be mildly disappointing (not because it feels like it should have been part of the main game, since the game certainly isn't lacking for content, but because they made an area with the intent of fleshing it out with DLC later), but who knows? They could just as easily expand the map, or do something with the idea of having part of the past be playable.

Eh, that's basically the same thing I said, though maybe you put it a little more eloquently. It's not as though I don't think there is enough to do, but I think it's possible for a game to be sufficiently long while simultaneously not feeling fleshed out to its potential.


The past is something that could be interesting for DLC, but again, I take similar issue with it because that's something that should have been the setting for the main game. Or at least, that's the vibe I get from the memories, which have most of the game's big dramatic sequences.

I read a theory that in this timeline, one of the 2 types of Zora, river or sea, evolved into Rito and the other stayed Zora.

I don't know about that. The past is where the bulk of the game's story lies, but the main game is very firmly set in the present, and nothing was done to set any sort of gameplay in the past. You're going to be able to say "this is something that could have been incorporated into the base game" about pretty much any DLC that relates to the base game's story in any way, so I think that's really too broad a criticism to be valid.
