Texas city says they were RIGHT to arrest 'Clock Boy' Ahmed Mohamed for bomb hoax, despite his father filing suit accusing officials of violating his son's civil rights

The City of Irving, Texas, says that the 2015 arrest of then-14-year-old Ahmed Mohamed, who was dubbed Clock Boy, was lawful

Ahmed was arrested for bringing a home-made alarm clock to school after his teacher questioned if it was a bomb in September 2015

The city claims Ahmed disobeyed his teacher, wasn't forthcoming during questioning and that his device met standards to qualify as a hoax bomb

Mohamed Mohamed, Ahmed’s father, filed a lawsuit against the city and Irving Independent School District, claiming his son's rights were violated

On October 6, the City of Irving demanded the entire lawsuit be thrown out of court and that officials rightfully arrested Ahmed

The city claims that its top priority is the safety of its residents and protecting the well-being of school children

or just a regular clock? the fact is, it wouldnt have mattered what the object is. he would still have made it look like a bomb.

he did this on purpose, and he fully knew what he was doing. he wanted to provoke the teacher into thinking he was making a bomb.
