No patent infringement found, no damages part of the trial, copyright was a tiny win at best for Oracle and mixed with no result found making it a very possible chance of an official mistrial.
Next week we see if apis are copyrighted. And if the answer is what Europe found, Oracle will lose that too.
Then we have the appeals.

As a software developer, I can't fathom how any jury of lay people could make an informed decision on this.</p> Im sure there was plenty of expert testimony, but...yeah
Yeah, it's been six weeks of trial and a ridiculous amount of difficulty for all. Nobody's been more impressive than the judge, who has been a beast. One of the biggest tech cases ever and something that really needs to be known.
The api issue is something only the judge will settle, and he's aware that Europe answered how they see apis midway through. Though that's the biggest deal, the other arguments have helped clear things up and matter, but they aren't the big one. Still, patents are a mess and this makes Google, even in the worst case, look like they will have a total win.

interesting that the jury was on google's side all along it seems. most people really don't like patent law with electronics either, and apparently if you try to explain it to a layperson their reaction is the same as a learned one: this is stupid, does not work, and is a curse against the english language with how much spin there is to try to make things the goddamn same.
i WISH the message here would, along with judges going in this direction, be that parents + electronics = terrible mix and you need to seriously reform the law to fix this crap because it's not working. but for now, this win will do.
