Vengeance 2001

Guess what, we've got the retro opening with Freddie Blasie. In the hall of the mountain king and Fury are two they love to use.

With video packages of the cold war and Stalin of course. Today we've got four dudes fighting for two titles. We're clearly going to see Rock vs Austin in the finals again.

Out comes Mr McMahon and he's going to give us a promo. This is all about kissing ass and stuff. Vince is practically in tears and now he's talking about Ric Flair! Now where the hell was Flair during the invasion?

Rock shoved Vince's face right into Rikishi's ass apparently. Another power trip on the audience. He's giving up as a big warning, so Kurt Angle's winning the undisputed title tonight!

WOOO! THE NATURE BOY IN PPV! It's been almost a decade since he last appeared! What next? Hulk Hogan will coming back?

Scotty 2 Hotty and Albert Vs. Test and Christian

The brawl starts outside the ring and about ten minutes into the PPV. Scotty's running rings around Christian and Test tags in. Scotty slides in for a tag to Albert.

Knockdowns and a splash on Test. Albert beating up Christian, Scotty's on top of Test and Christian pulls him down. Christian's stomping on Scotty. Scotty's getting shutdown in the corner.

Scotty with a kick to to the jaw and Albert's now in and he's cleaning house. Hip hop moves are causing trouble for the two blondes. Giant swing and Test is ineffective. Christian gets a shoulder up.

Double team and Albert runs right through them. Christian about to get powerbombed, Test pulls on the legs, Scotty looking for the worm. Christian plants him, goes for the worm. Scotty with the save.

Worm by Scotty unprettier on Scotty, Albert gets in there to give Christian the Baldo Bomb.

I swear tags were non existent in this match.

Regal calls Coachman a pillock.

You think you know me, Rob Zombie is giving me seizures. NEVAR GONNA STOP MEE!

WWF INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE MATCH:

Edge (c) Vs. William Regal

Tie up and they're still locked up and the ref has to break them up. Fight gos to the outside and a loud Regal sucks chant can be heard.

Edge is getting stomped on and now receives a hard uppercut. Backdrop by Edge, cover attempt falls short. Hard clothesline by Regal and JR notes how popular Edge is getting.

Sunset flip attempt by Edge fails and Regal's dirty wrestling is actually impressing JR. High knee and Edge is out cold! Kickout and Regal's going for a series of pins.

Regal sucks chants! More kicks by Regal and Edge counters with a neckbreaker. Takedown by Edge, Regal gets back up, forearms by Edge. Regal's on that top turnbuckle and Edge's hurricanrana gets him a two count.

Suplex and Regal again kicks out. Elbow into a rushing Edge, but Regal's quickly elevated out of the ring. Spear off the apron into the steel! Powerbomb by Regal and Edge managed to kickout of that one. Edge goes for the backslide but takes an elbow.

Powerbomb and another one and Edge kicks out again! Regal starts stomping on him all over again. Out come the brass knux and Edge SPEARS REGAL!

Twist of fate by Jeff and he's going for the Swanton. Punch by Matt and he now tosses Jeff to the mat. He's stalking him and the Twist of Fate is again blocked. Jeff with a twist of fate, countered into a backslide, countered again. Matt holds the ropes, Llita calls him out.

Rollup by Jeff. Matt and Lita sure are arguing a lot. Swanton and this one's done! No Matt has his foot on the rope. Wait what, Lita's lifting Jeff's arm. Lita just screwed Matt.

Trish and Rock are having a moment.

WWF TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH:

The Dudley Boyz (c) Vs. Big Show and Kane

Kane's cleaning house early on and both Dudleyz are struggling against the sheer size of Kane and Big Show. Bodyslam and a cover, but Bubba survives. Devon doesn't want to tag in just yet, he does now and takes a sidewalk slam.

The Dudleyz are in real trouble right now. Stacy's now in the ring and Big Show's smiling. Big Show's a big pervert who likes to spank hot blondes.

Clearly angered by this the Dudleyz run in and give Kane a 3D! Big Show's the one who did the deed and Kane takes the whole brunt of the Dudleyz offense. Double elbow clears out Big Show.

Show's running wild again and a chop block stops him in his tracks, Kane comes in. Team Hoss are no longer on the same apparently, oh wait now they are. Big Boot to Bubba and the elbow's avoided Kane gets struck and Show bullies Keibler again.

Flapjack on the top turnbuckle and that's it for Show.

Lita and Matt are yelling a lot.

Undertaker talks about kissing ass. Hey JR ARE YOU BETTER THAN ME! Tazz died. RVD got bullied. Even Bradshaw got killed.

THE ROCK SAID GET DOWN ON YOUR KNEES! Vince was forced to kiss ass by The Rock. It wasn't JR's ass, it wasn't Trish's ass it wasn't even The Rock's ass.

Rikishi's ass did it for The Rock.

Here's another video package. This shows how Ric Flair came in and how Angle, Jericho, Stone Cold and Rock got to battle it out.

Flair's pretty much backing Stone Cold and Rock, how lopsided this is.

I'm really trying to keep up with voltch, but I'm behind and on No Mercy 2001. And tell me if this reminds you of some voltch posts from then.

A Test vs. Kane match came on, I groaned and turned it off to watch another day. When I finally made it through that, I was presented with a lingerie match. And most recently I suffered my way through a tag match featuring Big Show.

Steve Austin becomes the #2 guy to become a multiple WotY, Bret's domination is totally legit.

1988: Rick Rude
1989: Bret Hart
1990: Bret Hart
1991: Bret Hart
1992: Bret Hart
1993: Bret Hart
1994: Bret Hart
1995: Bret Hart
1996: Shawn Michaels
1997: Steve Austin
1998: Mankind
1999: The Rock
2000: Kurt Angle
2001: Steve Austin

Previewing 2002:

Chris Jericho as the undisputed champion has a good shot at being the WotY, he's very athletic and good in the ring and should stay in the main event scene which by now features a nice collection of talent.

Stone Cold Steve Austin: He's great in the ring and the reigning WotY, never count him out.

Kurt Angle: Had a really hot run in the middle of the year and was probably number 2 in last year's race.

Rob Van Dam: Few wrestlers can do what he does and that is take over a match to the point where you can only remember him. He's screaming star right now and a good run could have him in contention.

Undertaker: The heel turn was a start, because Undertaker was in the running for worst wrestler of 2001, he's usually been very consistent and he's had some hot years so maybe the change of pace helps his match quality again.

And here's where I left off.

No Mercy 2001

Oh hey RVD is already getting a title shot.

Oh hey Ivory and Molly are with the WCW guys. Lance Storm's been opening a lot of PPVs lately.

Hardy Boyz vs. Lance Storm & Hurricane

Hurricane gets a hip toss and poses, yes. But now the Hardys are tossing him around. And Jeff's taking on two guys at once, and Matt interrupts a double team attempt.

From the top rope, Hurricane leaps outside onto every, flying with his cape. JR takes this moment to remind everyone about all the wrestling history in St. Louis.

Jeff caught in peril for a while, he runs up the turnbuckle and corkscrew moonsaults to get some momentum, Matt hot tagged in. Hurricane ducks the springboard and almost gets a rollup pin. Leg drop, and hurricane kicks out.

Everyone's in now, double superkick, Lance is dumped out. Lita and Molly collide, Ivory is in too. Storm puts on the half crab and trips while doing it, Lita with hurricanrana. Twist of fate, swanton, Hardys win.

RVD's not really on anyone's side except his own. Michael Cole drops Vince's jacket.

Ugh, Test? I'm not hyped for this next match.

Test vs. Kane

I don't know how much this is worth commentating. They botch a spot where Test gets tossed in a hangman. Kane press slams Test out of the ring. Nick Patrick lets some blatant DQing go.

Test has a busted lip. Some stuff happens, including way too many sidewalk slams. Test hits a big boot, which is the one move he can usually do well. Chokeslam, and Nick Patrick counts slow.

Eventually Kane wants to chokeslam the ref and Test, but then he takes a big boot and loses. Kane chokeslams the ref a couple times in anger.

Coach interviews Debra and she avoids swearing for Stone Cold.

Matt almost got caught staring at another girl. The promo for this lingerie match is Sunny's old theme.

Lingerie match: Stacy Keibler vs. Torrie Wilson

Stacy can do cartwheels, that's gonna be the most impressive move this whole match. Ref Jack Doan is the luckiest man in this match.

Torrie did some bounce off the ropes backflip and it was horrible. And she gets the pin off of it.

Christian says he was the better man in his old tag team pair and insults the Cardinals.

Ladder match: Christian vs. Edge

Christian gets to the ladder first but then suffers from a baseball slide. Both guys immediately head into the crowd for some brawling.

There's some elaborate setup of the laddder between the stairs and the barricade. Christian falls right on a rung. And now Christian jumps on the ladder to smack it in Edge's face.

Here's a chair, Edge elbows his way out and flips Christian onto the ladder. And now a slingshot into the ladder!

In comes ladder #2. They're both set up and a neckbreaker off the ladders. And now Christian hits a reverse DDT off the ladder.

Christian wants a conchairto, Edge pushes out and brings in a third ladder. The ladder is laid across two chairs, Edge splashes Christian on top of the ladder! Now the ladders are set in a triangle, Christian goes up and gets speared.

Up two ladders at once goes Christian, Edge hits him between the legs with a chair. A chair on top of the ladder! Edge gives him a conchairto on the top of the ladder! Edge gets the belt!

Spike Dudley is at WWF New York. Spike was dumped but he found a new girl.

By now I've already lost track of how many ridiculous partners Big Show has teamed up with.

Dudley Boyz vs. Big Show & Tajiri

Big Show wiggles his rear as his tries to squash D-Von. Who wants to see this. And Tajiri does a cannonball to the outside, perfectly executed.

Both guys in the ring down, ref misses a face tag and the Dudleys get a free wassup. Tajiri goes way too far up on a powerbomb and he counters into a DDT on Bubba. Big Show gets hot tagged in and he does a taunt reminiscent of Razor Ramon's.

Tajiri tags himself in for some reason. He's got the tarantula on! And now he does a handspring, he doesn't botch it like Torrie.

Green mist! It gets the ref in the face. Big show with a chokeslam. Rhyno's here, he gores Big Show! Tajiri is still kicking. 3D! Dudleys get the win, Big Show is made to look weak as hell.

Booker T is ready to take on the Undertaker. Oh god no, don't bury Booker T too.

CAN YOU DIG IT SUCKA

Booker T vs. Undertaker

Booker T doesn't care about turning off motorcycles, he jumps Taker right away. JR points out that October is a big month for both men because they both won a PPV event in a past October. Oh.

Taker's really working on the arm with some armbars and whatnot. Booker T wants to use the ring bell but can't.

Into the crowd they go. Some guy's holding two beers and Booker T runs into him and he's spilling all over his shirt.

Missile dropkick from Booker T. Now he delivers the knee and wants the spinaroonie, but Taker's got a big boot. Sidewalk slam is countered and there's a two count.

Both guys are trading big moves and two counts. Leaping kick and here's the SPINAROONIE! Some of the crowd likes it now. Scissorkick and Taker gets his foot on the rope during the cover.

Booker T is punching away in the corner, Undertaker grabs him and does the last ride and wins.

The match for the WCW title doesn't even feature an alliance member.

Chris Jericho vs. The Rock

Fans are going nuts for Rock at the start, it's clear he's the favorite.

WOOOOO! Jericho gets in a handful of chops. Some finishers are teased and here's the springboard dropkick as they go outside the ring for a bit.

More chops here, and Rock reverses to hit a bunch of his own. WOO WOO WOO WOO. Rock keeps trying to explode with moves from nowhere, but the pace is all Jericho-controlled.

Rock with a superplex has both down. Samoan drop gets a 2 count. Rock's down and there's a nip up. As they're outside, they're in danger of being counted out. Are count-outs finally a thing again? I sure hope so.

Missed dropkick from Jericho. Rock with a catapult, and he wants another superplex. But no, Jericho hits a missile dropkick! Charles Robinson, that's this ref's name.

Hurricanrana almost pins Rock! Rock goes for a clothesline and Jericho hits a rock bottom! Lionsault! Rock kicks out! Oh man Jericho wants the elbow now! Rock rolls away though.

Rock gets the sharpshooter on! Jericho gets to the ropes eventually. And now the spanish table is cleared off. Rock bottom through the table!

They're finally in the ring, he wants another rock bottom but can't. People's elbow instead! Jericho was playing possum! He puts on the walls of Jericho! The ref makes it obvious that he says "pull away" and Jericho pulls away!

Stephanie is here with a chair to ruin a good match. Jericho pushes her, Rock gives her a rock bottom. Jericho knocks Rock onto the chair when the ref looks away Jericho gets the pin! He's the new WCW champ!

Rock confronts Jericho and presents him with the chair he won with.

Austin wants RVD to reach for the stars and be in the main events. Now he's gonna be in the main event against Austin.

Triple threat match: Kurt Angle vs. Rob Van Dam vs. Steve Austin

Angle starts by suplexing everyone. We've got some RVD chants already. Austin gives RVD the fingers, RVD gives them right back.

Ankle lock is already on Austin, but RVD runs in to stop it. RVD with a couple kicks and Austin is pretty clearly protecting his face from those, don't want more neck injuries.

Austin's keeping both guys down here, half crab on RVD. And now he gets an STF, a move which I can never remember the name of for some reason.

Angle pulls Austin into the crowd for some chops. WOOOO. Back towards the ring, and RVD senton bombs them both. He's using the table to leap for a legdrop. He tries a kick to Angle's face, it's caught and Angle turns it into a suplex. Angle with the moonsault now.

Both Angle and Austin clothesline each other, both down. RVD wants a frog splash, but who? Well, he misses both as they roll away. Stunner on Angle but RVD breaks the count. He does a moonsault and Angle breaks this cover. Olympic slam on RVD, Austin breaks this one.

Austin and Angle have a chop war outside the ring. Austin gets dropped on the table, it doesn't break and Angle almost falls off it.

Out comes Vince. RVD has a shot at a frog splash on Angle, but Angle runs up for a suplex. Here comes Austin, stunner on Angle. In runs Vince, he hits Austin with a chair.

RVD hits the five star frog splash and vince wants Angle in the ring! Angle breaks the count. Austin is busted open.

Four suplexes and an olympic slam. Out runs Shane to attack Angle. Him and Vince are going at it now. Back in the ring Austin stunners RVD and gets the win.

We're in Atlanta and everyone's going wild.

WWF TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH:

The Dudley Boyz Vs. Tazz and Spike Dudley

How odd seeing the Dudleyz as challengers, but Lawler's checking out Keibler.

Tazz you still have the greatest theme ever. Spike has a neckbrace and The brawling's on the outside already. This might be over already.

Neckbreaker by Bubba and this is going to annoying they censor even the WWF badge on the referee's chest. Devon with a sharp elbow on Spike's neck and a snapmare again.

Crowd wants tables. Brainbuster by Bubba and Spike counters with the Dudley Dog. He hasn't been able to capitalize on it and Devon goes for a diving headbutt.

They're going for the double lariat and Spike dodges them. Tazz gets the tag and he clotheslines everyone and a suplex for them all. Nearfall!

Spike's climbing and Bubba gets kicked in the face. DUDLEY DOG AGAIN! TAZMISSION ON STACY! Spike tries the Dudley Dog, gets dumped out of the ring.

TAZMISSION ON DEVON! He taps out! Tazz has destroyed the Dudleyz on his own.

Edge is so damn tall, he's also very angry and he even brought a nice little steel chair to beat the cap out of Regal.

The big storyline of the month is that Vince McMahon grew so frustrated with Ric Flair co-owning the WWF, that he would rather KILL HIS OWN CREATION than live with it half under Ric's control.

So he called on the greatest company killers known to man, to inject the WWF with a LETHAL DOSE OF POISON...

Forgot about checking on this, hence my late arrival. I can add a few cents on a couple things, first with 2001 and Wrestlecrap's Hall of Fame.

Amazingly enough (I think), not a single event in the final 3 months of WCW got inducted into the Wrestlecrap Hall of Fame. However, the Worst (or ****er) of the Year award went to the entire InVasion angle from beginning to end! Most notable thing I remember the article saying is how Survivor Series was basically...

Alliance
Austin: While he was a WCW star, it was WWF that made him who he is
Angle: Never wrestled in WCW
Booker T: Big WCW star
Rob Van Dam: Big ECW star
Shane McMahon: Duh

And of course the WWF, which had 3 guys who were never in WCW, and 2 guys who might have had halfway decent careers in WCW, but their big time came in the WWF. And there's still the fact that hardly anyone that came over from WCW/ECW was made to look legit.

Other 2001 inductees into the WrestleCrap Hall of Fame include...
- Stalker DDP, the DDP that ignored his super-hot wife Kimberly in favor of stalking Undertaker's below-average wife
- Attitude Era Christmas Party. Basically the end-of-year X-Mas shenanigans, which involved two separate parties (a face party hosted by Flair and a heel party hosted by Vince), Bubba Claus vs. Tajiri Claus, Stacy and Torrie dressed in hot Santa clothes and wrestling in mud, Austin and Kane playing guitar together for a split second, and Mae Young sabotaging Vince's party. Somehow they crammed all this into two hours, along with a solid WWF title match between Rock, Jericho, and Angle.
- Drew Carey in the Royal Rumble. (Best quote: "You can tell this is done in 2001, cause if Drew Carey was looking for the master of ppvs now, he'd have Dana White's number on speed-dial")
- WWE superstars on The Weakest Link, where Booker T thought Thanksgiving was in October, and (like everything else) Triple H wins in the end when the final two are him and Stephanie!
- Moppy, Perry Saturn's final companion in the WWF
- The XFL, Vince's sports league that completely flopped in its first and only year.

Okay I finished

Rebellion 2001

Rock vs. Stone Cold is being hyped as our main event. And we're starting with a cage match for the intercontinental belt.

Steel cage match: Christian vs. Edge

Edge fights before even getting his coat off, and now he tries to blind Christian with the coat.

A couple rams into one side of the cage makes it look kind of loose. Both guys are going for covers, why would you cover in a cage match, that's no fun.

Christian's tried to escape a few times, he keeps getting caught. Now they're trading some covers.

Into the corners, Christian tries punching away. He's pushed off and a spear! Heyman is saying Edge is trying to run away from a fight when he starts climbing out.

Christian is heading up, over the top! Edge catches him on the outside and pulls his legs through, then ties his feet with wrist tape. Edge punches Christian on his way out.

Clips of a past Raw where Angle defected. Everyone in the world ran out during a McMahon match.

Who's this guy. Oh, it's Chavo. He's stuck on mic duty. Who's this other guy, I think it's Hugh Morrus. They're interviewing divas.

TURN IT UP! YES!

STAND BACK THERE'S A HURRICANE COMING THROUGH! YES!

Scotty 2 Hotty vs. The Hurricane

There's some lockups and counters and Hurricane is posing.

Holy crap does Shane Helms have a Green Lantern tattoo on his arm. This explains so much.

Scotty is tossed out of the ring and he skins the cat. Head scissor counter as Scotty's getting some offense. But now Hurricane gets some shots in, a nice flip into a neckbreaker.

Some kind of camel clutch with the arms crossed by Hurricane here. He sees the cape. He tries to fly but gets caught by a punch to the gut. Scotty knocks the cape off and gets a superkick.

Hurricane goes to do the worm! Scotty's up though, and now Hurricane wants a chokeslam, what. Hurricane with a rollup, his feet are on the ropes, still a kickout.

And here comes the worm! Been a while since I've seen that. And there's the pin.

Chavo and Morrus walk in on Lita now, she's in her underwear.

Here's a super closup of DDP's face. What a goofy promo. Is he a self-help guy now?

DDP vs. The Big Show

Oh, DDP is supposed to be a motivational speaker. He's grabbing on to Big Show and the big guy has no trouble standing with that extra weight.

Big Show wants to go for a chokeslam early into this match, and DDP turns and gets the diamond cutter. Slow to cover, Big Show kicks out.

And here's the chokeslam, Big Show buries DDP like he's Undertaker. What was that, 4 minutes?

They screw up and start playing Big Show's music again during DDP's post-match promo.

Chavo and Morrus walk in on Molly and she's weird.

Kurt Angle wants the Alliance to be the Knights of the Round Table.

Elimination tag team match: Dudley Boyz vs. APA vs. Hardy Boyz

Bubba calls out Matt Hardy to start. When Bradshaw gets tagged in, Matt wants to high five him, and Bradshaw just gives a DDT.

Jeff and Matt are double teaming Bradshaw, Jeff's doing it with a hat on. Fans want tables.

Faarooq in, wants a power bomb, Jeff tries a backslide and isn't strong enough. Dudleys want to go for the wassup, Bradshaw destroys everyone and does a fallaway slam from the 2nd rope.

Everyone's brawling, Dudleys give Faarooq a 3D. Matt gives him a twist of fate, APA is gone.

D-Von's looking for tables, Bubba says "other side". Here's the table. Jeff gets the Bubba bomb.

Jeff turns the tables with a low blow during a distraction. Hurricanrana and a two count. Matt's in the clear house. Jeff does one springboard, misses his second. Swanton coming, he misses. 3D on Matt, Dudleys win.

Rock and Jericho aren't getting along these days. They both get cheers and boos. The two are burying the hatchet. Or are they? Nope.

Ah, a UK PPV has to have Regal wrestling. He is everyone's role model.

William Regal vs. Tajiri

There's a "Regal sucks" chant and Tajiri hits a kick to Regal's face. Regal wants some grappling and covering, but he takes an enzuigiri instead.

Regal is waving, what a nice guy.

Tajiri gets hung on the ropes, and now we get a closeup shot of Regal stomping Tajiri's head. Probably shouldn't zoom in on a move such as that. Tajiri works the kicks again, reverse elbow and the tarantula!

Moonsault from Tajiri misses, Regal gets on the regal stretch and wins.

Tajiri breathes some green mist on Regal after the match.

Angle says Y2J is a Mickey Mouse name. The crowd has about zero reaction to his promo.

Kurt Angle vs. Chris Jericho

Jericho hits three suplexes in a row, stealing moves from Angle. Angle hits his own suplex to retaliate.

After a dropkick, they're both outside to trade some blows. And ankle lock out of nowhere! But Jericho rolls over before it's locked in.

Sunset flip try but it doesn't hold. Armbar time, but now Jericho is hung on the ropes.

Angle catches Jericho and wants to put the walls on here, can't turn over Jericho. Nick Patrick has been pretty fair in this match, no bias yet.

Desperation enzuigiri from Jericho stops constant Angle pressure. Here's some chops, WOOOOO. And a neckbreaker and hurricanrana. Rollup, and Jericho gets the ankle lock on Kurt Angle! Over to the ropes he goes.

Now Angle's got the ankle lock, no, Jericho gets on the walls of Jericho! Rope break again.

Lionsault lands on the knees, Angle wants the olympic slam but Jericho gets a rollup and a cover. Angle does the heel thing after the match and does some olympic slams.

Michael Cole has finally asked the Rock an intriguing question. Rock makes some funny facial expressions here.

No time for the main event here, we've got a divas match with Trish as the guest ref.

Mighty Molly & Stacy Keibler vs. Torrie Wilson & Lita

You can tell the diva division is thriving when I can guess who's coming out and in what order before anyone makes their appearance.

Stacy and Torrie are not good wrestlers. And here comes Lita to make something happen in this match. Oh, nevermind.

Molly and Stacy double team Torrie into a crab. That's gonna be the best spot of this mess. Molly misses a splash two minutes after Torrie moved. Lita tries to do a Hardy Boyz move and it fails. But she gets a twist of fate and wins.

Stacy and Trish argue after the match.

Rock's return recently was from a suspension? I just assumed he was making movies or something.

Steve Austin vs. The Rock

Austin decides to attack Rock from behind during his entrance. Lots of brawling, they're out by the tables. Heyman is hiding in the corner. Over to the entrance now, and Austin is suplexed on the metal floor. And now Austin is flipped on his back again.

Whoops I'm catching some of the ring talk here as the cameras follow this outside the ring action closely.

Austin almost falls crotch first on the ropes, but he catches himself and gives the crowd the finger a few times.

Over to the announce table they go. There's no spanish speakers in the UK. Rock gets a low blow and they don't bust the table just yet. Now Rock is thrown on the table and is in danger of getting counted out.

Austin shoves aside Hebner, both of them give each other the finger. Crowd cheers on Hebner.

Rock with a Thesz press of his own and he's mocking Austin. Here's a sleeper hold, it slows things down for a couple minutes.

Austin with a boston crab now, he's had Rock in submission moves for a while now.

Reversal whip and Hebner gets squished. Rock with a spinebuster, then the sharpshooter. Hebner is out of it so Rock finally breaks the hold. But now Austin gets the sharpshooter on Rock. He looks awkward doing it, probably because of his weak knees. Rock reverses the hold again and in runs Angle with a chair, he hits Rock.

And out comes Jericho to attack Angle. Rock turns and sees Jericho with the chair and thinks it was his doing, oh god. Rock and Jericho going at it. Austin's here, he gets rock bottomed! Hebner's still dead, no count on the pin.

Angle is back to fight Rock. Angle's knocked out, and now Austin is down. People's elbow coming! Angle stops it. Stunner on Rock! Hebner's awake again, he counts the cover and Austin wins.

So far we're agreeing on almost everything since 2000, though I'd have given 2001's ppv WotY to Kurt Angle instead of Austin.

We're 1/1 with each other's picks for 2002 though, but 2002 is a mess itself, so we'll see where we stand at the end of it.

Survivor Series 2001

The storyline for this is that if the Alliance wins, the WWF closes up for good. Well gee okay, I wonder if that will actually happen.

Ha, Christian calls North Carolina "South Carolina".

WHOA Al Snow is back. What's this super generic music he's got? And where's he been lately?

Christian vs. Al Snow

Oh, Al Snow's been working on Tough Enough.

Snow goes for some quick covers. Christian hits a chop and the Carolina crowds know to WHOOOO those. "We want Edge" chant coming out now.

A couple times, Snow goes for a series of headbutts. Almost an unprettier. Snow hits a surprise powerbomb, barely a two count. Christian hits the unprettier now. A bunch of taunting, Snow almost gets a surprise rollup pin.

Crossbody from the top, reversed, two count again. Snow plow, but Christian's feet are on the ropes. Here's an unprettier, Christian wins the match.

The Alliance is fighting about who's leader.

Linda McMahon is here, she's concerned about everything. Michael Cole is concerned too. The 10 person match isn't 5 on 5, Vince made it 6 on 4.

William Regal vs. Tajiri

Regal blocks the first kick attempts, but now Tajiri's getting some shots in. Tarantula already! Regal's nose is bleeding already too. Handspring elbow, this thing's moving fast.

Tajiri gets hung up by his neck and this kills his momentum. Regal ducks some more kicks and gets a double underhook powerbomb, and this thing is already over.

Regal gives an extra powerbomb after the match for good measure. Out comes Torrie, she gets powerbombed too.

The intercontinental belt and US Championship are to be unified as one.

Test is hitting on Stacy Keibler. Edge talks about how he and Test are so similar, except Test gets dumped by lots of girls. Haha a Test impersonation.

Test vs. Edge

Lots of locking up early on and Test is working those heel tactics.

Test why are you so boring. He's got this match slowed to a crawl and then gets in a long rest hold. Edge fights back with a missile dropkick.

Edge fights off a superplex in the corner, tries a sunset flip from the top and Test says no.

Here comes the pump handle slam, Edge rolls out. Suplex evaded now, and Test with a spear! Edge kicks out at 2. Big boot ducked, here's the pump handle slam. Edge kicks out again.

Powerbomb countered into a headscissor, and a spear! Test kicks out of it this time. Test goes for another powerbomb and gets pinned in a rollup. US Championship is dead.

Oh no Stephanie is stressed out. Rich girl issues.

The tag titles need to be unified too, gonna need a cage match for this. Matt Hardy wants to keep the dream alive and he's not the best at promos.

Steel cage match: Dudley Boyz vs. Hardy Boyz

All four guys lay their belts down in the middle, and oh are they gonna actually do this as a tag match? Guess the guys in the corners can't escape.

The crowd reaction seems to imply Jeff is more popular than Matt.

Jeff gets a hot tag in after Matt takes some damage, and the tag format has been pretty much abandoned. Both Hardys trying to escape, both Dudleys catch them. Jeff gets Bubba bombed off the ropes.

Bubba tosses Jeff and it almost backfires as Jeff grabs the cage and tries to climb out! He's eventually carried over to the corner where the Dudleys perform a doomsday device. Heyman says, "What a rush!"

Hardys are both pretty much dead here. Matt gets splashed against the cage twice. But the Dudleys aren't escaping, they're just causing more damage.

Dudleys both go for splashes off the corners, they both miss. Matt's face is bleeding and he's fighting back.

Matt's trying to escape, his leg gets caught in the cage thanks to D-Von. Bubba wants tables! Nick Patrick is out of the ring and wants to stop Stacy from getting tables. She hikes up her skirt and gets the key to the cage. In goes the table!

3D through a table coming, but it's broken up. Matt climbs his way out. Jeff tries for a cover instead but it doesn't work.

Jeff is climbing to the top. D-Von's only plan is to climb on the table and lay there. Jeff can't resist! Swanton from the top of the cage! D-Von moves and Jeff goes through the table. Dudleys get a cover and get all the belts.

Paramedics have to help Jeff out of the ring after his match, he's completely out of it.

Mick Foley is in New York tonight. It's all Vince's fault and he's a joke.

Scotty's gonna be in the battle royale? Test finds out and assaults him. Oh no, who will do the worm?

The Immunity Battle Royale is next, the winner can't be fired no matter who wins. Nobody's music plays, we just hear that "Let the Bodies hit the Floor" song.

Immunity Battle Royale: Lance Storm, Justin Credible, Raven, DDP, Shawn Stasiak, Steven Richards, Billy Kidman, Tommy Dreamer, The Hurricane, Test, Bradshaw, Faarooq, Crash Holly, Sho Funaki, Albert, Billy Gunn, Chuck Palumbo, Spike Dudley & Perry Saturn

I had to pause a couple times, but I think I got everyone.

Stasiak immediately runs at Bradshaw and gets tossed out, actually it's before the bell even rings. Test and Albert fighting outside the ring but still in it.

Oh, out comes Tazz! Is he in this too?

Hurricane's got the cape on! But Faarooq catches him. Bradshaw eliminates him, that's 2/2 eliminations by Bradshaw.

Heyman reminds us that throwing someone over the top rope in the old WCW was a DQ. Albert throws out Saturn. And Test knocks out Faarooq.

DDP is attacking Billy, this makes Chuck mad and he eliminates DDP. Is there something going on with Billy and Chuck? (don't answer this) Oh, and Storm kicks Chuck out.

Chavo Guerrero and Hugh Morrus both run out, are they in this now? What is going on. They toss out Justin Credible, then Funaki. And Raven too.

Billy picks up Chavo and throws him over the top in an impressive display of strength. Billy's probably completely winded now. Oh, and Morrus is out too.

Tazz eliminates Crash and Dreamer. Storm enzuigiris Spike out of the ring. Bradshaw's had enough of Richards and throws him out. Tazz is taunting Heyman and Billy pushes him out. Tazz wants a piece of Heyman, why does he feud with every announcer.

Albert is gone thanks to a group of Alliance guys. Bradshaw fallaway slams Kidman over the ropes! Lance Storm has hit some dropkicks, he's looking good here.

Lance Storm, Bradshaw, Test, and Billy Gunn are the final four.

Billy's trying to skin the cat, he's too exhausted to pull in. Bradshaw and Lance Storm trying to push each other out, so Test pushes them both out. Test ruins everything, knocking out the best two of the final four. Billy wants a fameasser big Test big boots him out.

Test = new X-Pac

Here's a montage of... something. I can't figure out the theme. Everyone, even injured guys are in here. It's been a while since I've seen Benoit, Rikishi, and Triple H.

Booker T doesn't trust Austin.

Chyna's abandoned belt will be won by someone next.

Trish Stratus vs. Jacqueline vs. Lita vs. Ivory vs. Mighty Molly vs. Jazz

Jazz is this mysterious person when she comes out, nobody knows who she is. She immediately slams Lita and now Lita has a formidable opponent.

Jacqueline hits Molly with some hard chops. WHOOO. Ivory punches Lita, that should be a tag.

Oh, everyone's in now. Lita and Jacqueline double team Jazz. Oh, but Jacqueline turns! Lita hits the twist of fate and moonsault. But now she's fighting with Jazz.

Trish and Ivory alone in the ring, Trish hits Stratusfaction and wins somehow.

We've got an hour left, is the main event really next? Well, guess the introductions will take all day. Wait, Vince is only here with 5 guys, what was all that 6 on 4 talk earlier, Vince. Jericho is so short in this lineup.

Jesus christ Vince this speech is taking forever. I guess this is his war general leading his troops to the final fight moment. He's savoring it for all its worth.

Recap video. Oh no dissention in all the ranks. Taker trying to get everyone to cooperate.

CAN YOU DIG IT SUCKA! YEAH IT'S BOOKER T! Ha, and he's the only Alliance guy not getting some kind of pop from fans who loved him from time as a face.

JR says Heyman could be replaced by Jim Cornette if fired! I'd be fine with Cornette coming back.

Survivor series match: Shane McMahon, Booker T, Rob Van Dam, Kurt Angle, & Steve Austin vs. The Big Show, Kane, Undertaker, Chris Jericho & The Rock

Austin and Rock square off first, Thesz press and a bunch of brawling. Rock with his own Thesz press. Shane's running in to break up every cover.

RVD and Jericho in together, lots of dodging and countering before Jericho hits an elbow. WHOOOO there's a bunch of chops in this match already too. RVD goes for a hurricanrana, Jericho catches and the walls! Shane breaks this up too.

Kane's too big for Angle, he can even leap off the top rope. Booker T's already in for the third time, he runs into a big boot from Taker. Shane breaking up more covers. Taker walks the ropes on Booker T, then they lock one arm and he lifts Booker T straight up, good show of strength by both guys. Shane breaks another cover and runs into a cameraman.

"OLD SCHOOL AGAIN" Undertaker announcing that move is so lame. Give me deadman back.

Angle can't suplex the big Taker, and now in comes the bigger Big Show finally. I anticipate him being eliminated first. Big Show clears house on everyone though. Angle gets the olympic slam on Big Show!

Booker T comes in with the scissor kick and the SPINAROONIE! RVD with the 5 star frog splash! Shane hits a flying elbow, and he pins Big Show for the first elimination. lol big show

Rock smacks Shane around some, then Kane chokeslams him. Taker comes in to give a tombstone, and Jericho hits a lionsault, Shane's gone too.

Jericho picks up Angle with a double underhook and drops him in a backbreaker, nice move. Shane is selling those finishers so hard, he can't walk. Booker T does a knee and gets so many boos.

RVD avoids a rollup pin, then runs into a Kane boot. Punches don't work on Kane, and the three shoulder spot fails twice in a row. Five star frog splash, Kane sits up though, and everyone's in the ring.

RVD hits a flying kick on Kane now, Kane's gone.

Undertaker's in the ring with all four Alliance guys and he's squashing them all. Dammit Taker. Angle gets a last ride, Booker T can't use a chair and Austin stunners Taker. Angle covers Taker, he's gone too.

Rock and Booker T, Rock runs into a leaping kick. Jericho's been hurt outside the ring somewhere for a while. Booker T runs into Angle accidentally, rollup and Booker T is out.

The battle of WWF vs. WCW has come down to five guys, none of whom are even part of the invading WCW.

Jericho's running over RVD a bunch. Chops, bulldog, lionsault attempt but he lands on his feet. RVD with a back heel kick and a moonsault. Jericho tells RVD what to do, JR says "Jericho is talking to himself there." Nice cover. Forward leg sweep knocks down RVD and Jericho pins him.

Austin gives Jericho a superplex, Jericho's been in there for a while. Both guys run past each other, someone was supposed to clothesline, whoops. Angle and Austin are getting that teamwork going.

Jericho gets Angle in the ankle lock, but it doesn't last long. Austin comes in for a suplex and some stomps.

Some fighting back from Jericho, finally Rock is tagged in. He puts Angle in the sharpshooter! Angle taps out!

Austin's face is busted open, him and Jericho are both trying to get the walls of Jericho on. Lionsault attempt, it lands on the knees. Austin hits some chops, WHOOOO. Jericho fights back with a missile dropkick and more chops. Rollup, Austin reverses it and he pins Jericho.

Jericho is mad about his elimination and Rock not saving him, he knocks down Rock! Undertaker runs out to make Jericho reconsider his actions.

Austin and Hebner arguing, now Austin and Rock go out of the ring. They're fighting by the tables, along the barricades, back to the tables. Austin gets a spinebuster back in the ring, and a sharpshooter on Rock! These things always happen in Survivor Series. Rock eventually gets the ropes. Austin's shoe is untied and he tries bringing the belt into the ring.

Rock gets a sharpshooter on Austin now! Austin gets the ropes, but Rock won't break it! Rock gives Austin a stunner! Out runs Nick Patrick, he's corrupt and pulls Hebner away. Austin gives Rock a rock bottom! Rock kicks out as Patrick counts. Austin's mad, Patrick is punched out and Hebner is back in. Oh, ref bump now.

Stunner! Rock's down, the refs are down! Kurt Angle runs back out, he turns on Austin and hits him with the belt, what. Rock gets the pin! WWF is the winner.

Vince comes out to celebrate, everyone's watching Rock instead.

Star of the PPV: The Rock
