Most incredible movie I have ever seen. I am awestruck and blown away. This is indeed the best film ever, not quite my favorite, Taxi Driver, The Good Bad and Ugly, Star Wars and Forrest Gump I still love more on a personal preference, but nevertheless the best film I've ever seen.
When it comes to animated children's films, pacing is rarely an issue, but I felt The Lorax somehow managed to make it one. Other than issues with balancing the past and the present, I thought it was a decent film.
I am almost clueless on what to say about this film, as I feel that selling it to anyone will just result in me attempting to describe specific scenes from the movie. I will say that it's sheer consistent creativity of the animation is the movie's most vital strength that manages to carry the entire thing.

While the introduction sequence was fantastic the film quickly fell apart and additonally lost my interest soon after. Sure some things had clear quality and value such as acting performances and the great score, but besides that nothing else attracted me too it. The slow moving plot which I normally have no problem with (movies with very slow pacing such as 2001 and Stalker are some of my favorite films) was nearly unbearable and many things it tried to convey fell flat on its face, especially during the later parts of the second act but before the finale.
Yeah, I enjoyed Justine's chapter/act, but it really fell apart with Claire's. Pacing and attention-grabbing stuff were major issues there. I think they spent an hour for something they could have done in 15-20 minutes.
Horrible reboot. A lot of things were forced in this, like uncle Ben's death and the transformation of Peter onto the super spider abilities. I really didn't like this choice for an actor and I also didn't like the villain.

Luckily, I don't really remember much about the Speed Racer tv series except for bits of the theme song. Plot was a bit weak and predictable, but I just didn't care because of the CGI.

While it shone is some areas particularly the Flash Gorden part, for the most part it was filled with the occasionally funny but mostly dull and stupid humor that MacFarlane is known for along with subpar acting. But it accomplished what it meant to accomplish which was a clever and vulgur comedy.
It had its funny Johnny Depp moments, but overall I was much more disinterested than when I saw it the first time as a kid back in 2005. It was very meh for me.

The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo (2011) - 8.0 I think this is better than the original but a big problem was the frequency of cuts. Scenes would like a minute and then cut to something new. Needed more time imo.
The Royal Tenenbaums - 8.0 Better than I remember but still not at Anderson's best.
Summer Interlude - 7.0 Finally got around to picking up Ingmar Bergman's two newest NA releases. This one was a bit depressing but good.
My Week with Marilyn - 6.0 Michelle Williams was a great MM but other than that it was just alright.

:O, what is this? I had such a fun time watching [REC]3!!
TDKR - 6.5/10
Not a fan of Nolan, and this movie managed to include every single thing I don't like about him. All his stupid gimmicks, all his non-sense twists... I would have given it a 7.5/10 before the last 30 minutes, and I would have said it was better than Inception and Batman Begins at least, but then we see one of the dumbest twists ever (totally Deus Ex Machina) and Nolan trying to include some sentimentality in the final act. I, for one, would have prefered a more tragic ending.
But of course, I am someone who hasn't felt for the tricks of Mr "I'm smarter than you".
