In the fourth Rap Battle, sonicblastpunch emerged as Board 8's Top Rapper.

Now it is time to find a new champion in Board 8 Rap Battle V: Know Your Roots! Brought to you by Cokes, Alec, Ed, and whoever else ends up helping.

In tribute to the original Rap Battle, we will be returning to a pure tournament bracket.

Please note, this is a DOUBLE ELIMINATION bracket. That means everybody gets a minimum of two battles. Even if you lose a battle, you still have a chance to come back and become the champion.

Seeding was primarily randomized after tiering based on career records, and as such will not determine "home field advantage" except in the championship round. Instead, order will be determined by coin flip, and reflected in the topic title.

~~~Rules and Regulations~~~
-The contestant listed first goes first.
-Each competitor must spit two 12 line verses, alternating Rapper A-Rapper B-Rapper A-Rapper B.
-After the final verse has been posted, there will be a 36 hour voting period.
-You can’t vote on your own match.
-As always, keep the player hatin' to a minimum.
-Extensions may be allowed on a discretionary basis.
-In case of a tie at the end of the voting period, there will be a tiebreaker round. A new topic will be posted with the 2 raps from each rapper, and each rapper will then be allowed to spit a further 12 line verse, in the same alternating order, followed by another round of voting.

Alright guys, INPUT NEEDED.

Cokes wants to withdraw, and I think it makes the most sense to switch it so Seg gets his bye (based on career results, etc) and then a replacement (hopefully swordsman) gets Seg's current spot facing Walrus on Thursday.

However, as I am in Seg's quarter of the bracket, I don't want it to look like host bias for switching out a guy who kicked my butt in the past.

We could also give swordsman the bye and leave Seg where he is, but the career numbers are a tad better for Seg and I'd prefer not to give a replacement a bye.

Thoughts?
