X_Dante_X 09/21/11 5:54:00 PM #1:	Jake Armitage, Duke Nukem, Nero, Samus, and Fou-lu have challenged Isa, Selvaria, Terry Bogard, Bill Rizer, and Orochi to a fight! Location of the fight: Great Silver Shrine: Flying high in the upper atmosphere of Arcadia, the Shrine laughs at gravity as normal people know it. The outside has teleporters that lead into the personal quarters of the Silvites, as well as the main area of the Shrine filled with winding pathways that alter gravity. Access to the rest of the world is banned, assuming Mercs could even get to it without dying horribly.. Which side will win? Guidelines - The fight will occur in real-time (like an FMV sequence). Gameplay mechanics are less important than how the characters would function in a real-time environment. - The members of each team are ideal teammates capable of a pre-selected plan of battle. - "Broken" refers to a lot of things, including insta-death, auto-effects, a variety of status effects (e.g., Imp, Silence, Stop, not Poison), and revival. Unless stated otherwise, nobody has them, though do use your own discretion. - There may be SPOILERS from all of the games the characters are from. Rules for Voting - Bold your votes (using <b> and </b>). - Provide a justification for why you think the selected team would win. Fanboy logic, ignoring character assumptions or rules, and vague or unintelligible justifications are all grounds for having your vote disqualified. - If you want to switch your votes simply bold the change; there's no need to delete your post, though you may if you wish. - This match will end in 24 hours. Jake Armitage is as he appears in Shadowrun, with maximum possible stats and all cyberware upgrades. He brings to battle his Ruger Warhawk pistol, Defiance T-250 shotgun, Uzi III SMG, HK227 assault rifle, AS7 Assault Cannon, full body suit, and all his spells. Duke Nukem is as he appears in the Duke Nukem series. He possesses his X-3000 from Manhattan Project, his Plasma Cannon from Duke 64, his RPG from Duke Nukem 3D, and his Grenade Launcher from Duke 64. He also has his Jetpack, Night Vision Goggles, Scuba Gear, and Holoduke from Duke Nukem 3D. Nero is as he appears in Devil May Cry 4 in his base form. He has all his weapons and techniques gained through the game, and he may access Devil Trigger for 10 seconds every 5 minutes. The regen on his DT is as it's done in the gameplay though, not cutscenes. Samus is as she appears in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, in her normal state near the end of the game. She may enter her Corrupted state for 14 seconds every 5 minutes with no ill effect. If she lasts for any longer than that in Hyper Mode she will die in the next 5 seconds. She's aware of this limit. Fou-Lu is as he appears in his playable form in Breath of Fire IV. He functions as if Kachi is fused with him, and cannot unfuse with or be separated from her. In addition, he can use both Isa and Kachi shooting modes and charge shots. Selvaria is as seen in Valkyria Chronicles, with access to her Valkyrur lance and shield as well as her Rhum machine gun. She cannot use her Valkyrur Flame self destruct power. (2) The path to the central teleporter is shorter from the entrance than from the upper chamber, where I would expect Chris' team to start. Also, Jake's still got that invisibility spell, so any stealth or sneak attack advantage would go to us. Isa is essentially countered by Fou-Lu, who can fly in dragon form and who has access to the learned technique Spirit Blast, a melee tech that ignores defense. So what he will do is fire lasers at the teleporter and make it EXPLODE in fire and death. Whats the other team going to do? Invisibility? As if that matters! Being a dragon is awesome until you realize that it isn't so awesome in close quarters which is mostly what GSS provides. I think Isa can just go ahead and blow up this entire place and everyone else along with it. Okay so maybe not enough to bring it crashing down or anything, but Isa is at the top of GSS. If he just destroys everything below him then he's sure to maim the other team. Anyway, uhh...I have really high respect for most of Drak's team (read, all of it), but Isa is off-the-charts broken and his backup is all pretty nice except maybe Terry. I think people tend to give magic the edge, but then again these magic characters seem just as mortal, even Orochi can be defeated by a bunch of punches in his games. Duke outclasses Bill Rizer, maybe trick him with the holoduke and blow him away. Armitage is one bad dude, I think he could take take Selvaria. Orochi really has nothing special in the defense catagory, Samus's armor could protect her from some of his attacks while she proceeds to blast his brains all over the wall. Fou-Lu and Isa are the characters I know the least of, but after a quick look online I'll say they're fairly evenly matched, they blow eachother away. Terry is not to be underestimated, and I think he could do some major damage against Nero with some power geysers, but a few guns aimed at Terry at the same time and its academic. He goes on to fight not one, not two, but FIVE huge, spacefaring foes, and trashes them. He's absolutely ridiculous, downright monstrous even. Fou-Lu is good, but even in his boosted mode he's still a couple notches below that much power. Fou-Lu can probably keep him busy for a while, but won't come even close to winning or even doing all that much damage.
