$60 is a lot as is, will they push for 70+? 3ds games are pretty ridiculous right now. 40 for a handheld game seems wrong.

There were some $70 N64 games. We're doing better than we used to in at least that regard.

It could happen. Somehow I doubt it this time though.

I just hope the next gen consoles are just current console architecture scaled up and not radically different. That could help keep the cost down.

Big games in Japan are already sold at a premium.

Yea most of them are usually $100+ even now.

some ps3 games have cost me 75 bucks, but that's Canada, lol.
But yes, they will cost more. 65 for the game, 115 for the dlc

NHL09, Demon's Souls, and NHL11 cost me 75.

I don't think the costs will go up, though. The move from SD->HD has been expensive, but it won't be as strenuous on time or money next-gen, thanks to everyone getting accustomed to it and better dev tools being given to developers. I imagine next-gen will also have consoles that are much easier, as a whole, to develop for, so there won't be as much of a need to increase the price. I think, if anything, we're more likely to see a structured price system over an across the board increase in price.
