GameFAQs Flash (Board 8 MPFC Contests)

Basically Flash except he has precognition so always knows exactly which of his powers he needs to use. He's completely ruthless and will to uses his powers to do whatever is needed to win including immediately speedblitzing his opponent. The limits on his powers are roughly normal Flash's abilities taken to their logical extremes. He has none of the weaknesses shown by regular Flash's middle or low end feats. His battling feats including defeating Gogeta via stealing all of his speed and taking down Elminster Aumar.

the basic idea of the flash will use everything that he can do against an opponent even though he's rarely shown the willingness to do it all.

It's not even limited to GameFAQs: ANY versus argument involving the Flash will eventually go to Speed Force shenanigans. It's just because Flash has done some completely ridiculous stuff in the past, like punching a guy with infinite force, and running so fast that he beat himself in a race.

Most comic book readers agree that the Flash's powers are ****ing insane

yeah, the gamefaqs part was just a tagalong made because of how the situation got around here, but in most any vs. match it happens. the general idea is that someone will do what they can to win if they're in a serious do-or-die scenario. most characters do, and even the flash has shown it himself a couple times. thing is these couple times are very rare and not the normal serious fights, and tend to be more 'do-or-the universe ends' type of scenarios. or his wife's in trouble. either of those.

now Doctor, that was pretty much 100% gamefaqs done. flash, supes, etc? eh, not really. it's basically 'bloodlust on' kind of deal for any of the excessively heroic characters; they just rarely show it.

Flash is one of the most prominent examples, simply because he has a lot of crazy powers that could theoretically do a lot of stuff he is never willing to actually do. He's technically capable of doing stuff like vibrating himself through your brain to kill you, but he's not going to do it, but in a VS match his supporters will insist it's his go-to tactic. It's not unique to him, but it's most easily seen with him, I guess is how it should be said.

...yeah see, that comparison doesn't actually work. flash has used his powers to a crazy high level before. it's not an issue of him being 'totally out of character' because he's shown that it very much so IS. the issue comes from the circumstances are very rare and extreme when he'll show that kind of willingness. if you were to assume that what you're seeing is the furthest that they have ever gone then it's actually not wrong. if you assume it's what a normal fight is to them, then it is. so the character's mostly right, the power level's mostly right, but the scenario between the two doesn't fit 90% of the time.

it gets mentioned with Flash the most simply because of how big a gap you run there - one minute he's on the justice league fighting in a similar tier along with some high level beings, yet he ends up being knocked aside like a chump. i mean it's an issue for all of them, but at least Supes, GL, and WW get good showings every so often. Flash ends up getting treated like crap in most team ups. but then you get to his runs and... it's not.


people should just be happy nobody's ever tried to legitimately get Zoom in.

No it really, actually happened.

I could not tell you how the hell it worked, and I've read the scans.

It had something to do with the rotation of the planet and relativistic speeds causing him to be lagging slightly ahead of the image of himself with each revolution of the planet.

Barry Allen's Zoom has this thing where he's unable to kill Flash or else he loses his powers, because Zoom gets them from the Reverse Speed Force, which can only exist with the positive version that Barry is the source of.
Wally West's Zoom was testing him in order to make him a better hero.

In the case of the first, this basically leads to Zoom going around and ****ing with Barry's life for eternity using time travel, because he hates Barry but can't actually kill him. This amounts to anything from killing his mother and framing his father for the murder, to just pushing Barry down the stairs a few times. He's just that much of a dick.

well zoom used to be weaker and have a slightly different variation of powers. then zoom got better and everything changed. now he's just a no limits flash with better powers (e.g., instead of just stealing speed he can steal your memories too).

Basically in battle, Flash is everywhere at the same time, knowing everything, killing everything that ever existed and ever will exist. Unless he goes against someone a DC Comics fan likes more, in which case he's so dumb that you can run aound the corner and trip him.
