Very few of the character appearances actually defy their book descriptions in significant ways, so maybe you pictured everyone the wrong way. Except the kids who are all aged up.

I think the "these characters aren't how they pictured them" complaint is silly and overused. Do you really expect them to find a full cast of actors that look just like they do in the book?

The TC may not have been complaining but I'm so used to seeing it as a complaint that I took it as one.

And like, I've seen complaints that Sansa is supposed to be blonde and that Robb's hair shouldn't be that color, both of which are completely wrong. And several similar complaints.

I mean, in books even with a description you're gonna use your imagination to figure what everyone and everything looks like, I always find it interesting how we all interpret stuff differently.

Daenerys is the only one that's really different from her book description, and even she's fine. I was very impressed with the casting in general.

But yeah, I tend to have trouble keeping the character appearance descriptions in my head as I read. It's hard especially in a series with as many characters as this one.

I know I just don't like it when people use it as a complaint, which happens all the time. And it's not just with GoT, it happens with any adaption.

It's really, really good. I downloaded the entire series and I'll be buying it when it gets released, and my fiancee and I have bought all five of the books and are both reading our way through those.
