I know it's not a lot, but hey, it's a start!

Now to go bury it in the backyard.

Ah, but he has a plan.

He's going to mark one part of his yard with a large X. Everyone will search there and ignore the REAL spot.

My pool guy likes investing in precious metals and talked up silver a lot about a month ago. I considered buying into it but I don't know jack diddly about metals.

That article where he compares precious metals to NASCAR, and then goes on to explain what is really going on, certainly illustrates why people just need to avoid analogies

but yeah not bad to own gold. silver I have no clue. platinum slightly no clue but I know my ring has tripled in what it would cost to buy so it must be good! :)

The difference with precious metal bubbles is that they at least never collapse all the way down to zero when they burst.

When you look at the traditional valuations, Silver is very undervalued in comparison to gold right now.

Not to say that the "traditional valuations" are correct and will be returned to anytime soon, but you know what I mean.

Ah, but in a post-apocalyptic world (nuclear holocaust, plague, etc.), among the survivors, cigarettes, coffee, and toilet paper would be like currency. Your silver would be worthless.
