I know I already said it, but I was really surprised that DKC2 was not even in the top 15. I pretty much view it as the best Nintendo game I have not played.

Oh, wow, I either never noticed that, or totally forgot about it.

And as for DKC2 not in the top 15...meh. It's a pretty generic platformer. You jump. You jump on things. You might use a few special jumps or a basic one button attack. You might ride on an animal. You might collect stuff. That's...about it.

I mean, it's really well-made, but if I were to pick a list of games for "you missed the SNES era, but you really should go back and play these games", DKC2 would not be on the list. It's not like, say, Yoshi's Island, which is legitimately different from anything being released today.

Yoshi's Island the lol rail platformer...yeah.

It's mostly DKC2's strong soundtrack and atmosphere that grab my attention, and I've heard really good things about the level design as well.

I never liked LttP and to this day am a little baffled by the appeal. OoT was an enormous step up. Super mario world was a step down from SMB3 and frankly doesn't belong in the top 20 let alone the top 10.

5. kirby's dreamland 3
6. FF VI
7. front mission: gun hazard (try this game)
8. super castlevania
9. kirby super star
10. lots of stuff battling it out here but I'll give it to DKC

FFV isin't that great. Easily the weakest out of the IV, V, VI era.

Yes I have played SMW2, though it has been over two years. Still, it felt like there were so many "you're on a moving platform, try to dodge upcoming enemies and obstacles while making sure not to fall off" levels.
