(Romance spoilers from superhero movies: aka who cares?)

MarvelousGerbil posted...
Thor had quite possibly the least believable romance in any movie of the ever. Not that it's what I see a damn comic book movie for, but they could at least try to do something beyond "Hot chick meets muscle man and they want to bang."

I thought Thor did a solid job of the romance by superhero standards. Way, way better than Captain America, which suffered from Smurfs syndrome ("There's only one female character and her personality is 'female'/'love interest'") And...I liked Thor's romance better than Green Lantern's romance too; better actors/actresses, maybe?

X-men first class probably wins romance of the films this year, I'll grant you. Which is odd given how none of the romantic advances in that movie really go anywhere, they're just great scenes. Still, to me, Thor's an easy #2 for romance in a superhero movie this summer.

I preferred xmen. Thor had too much comedy. Nothing wrong with some, but it was used at the wrong time sometimes.

To be fair to the romance part of Captain America, given the time and setting it's in, you can't really have many female characters in it or else it feels forced.
