I got Satellite recently and It apparently runs on Wifi nowadays
but unfortunately this means if I turn on my PS3 or Wii, the signal for the satellite and the remote grow extremely weak and they won't do what you tell them to do
I've noticed that my 360 doesn't affect it at all, and I figured thats because its on the Ethernet cable
but I tried running my PS3 on an Ethernet cable, and went through the settings to properly hook it up, and it STILL eats up the Wifi for no reason, despite the system identifying the wire
Are you literally saying that there is no direct connection from your dish to your receiver, and that somehow you're getting all your content over your WiFi network?

So yeah, satellite needs an internet connection for "OnDemand" stuff (which it actually has to download since there's no way to do it like cable does it over the airwaves like that).
Your options are as follows: 1.) Go through your receiver box's menu and find some way to disable the WiFi connection. It is a non-essential feature, but one that's enabled by default.
2.) Hook up an ethernet cable to your actual receiver and leave the game consoles like they were. That should help, unless your internet is just crappy in general.
How often would you be watching satellite and playing a game at the same time, anyway?

I'm lookin
I can find the options to TEST my connection, and it definitely identifies my wifi, but I can't find anywhere to disable it

like, my wifi receiver? Thats what I did
and its not crappy cause my 360 runs fine this way!

The Mrs. is watching the TV in the living room. and I'm herei n the game room and I recently got Netflix so yea >_>
and XBL Gold ran out so I can't access Netflix on the 360 >_>
so I managed to find out how to set up a wired connection using my Dish box
AND GUESS WHAT
Turning on the PS3 STILL ****s with my second TV
I just said **** it and called Customer support
I explained my entire situation and they said that at this point, its safe to assume that the playstation is giving off something thats interfering with the other TV
