I looked up on google a good renting site, and found Chegg. I can rent one of my college textbooks for a hundred dollars less than the list price, which is amazing. So do they just send it to me within a couple days and then I send it back at the end of the semester or something? And would it be recommended to this, or should I maybe buy the books from Amazon maybe, and then sell them back at the end of the semester? I heard you don't get much when selling back, but this Chegg site also says they buy books back from you when you're done, they say they'll pay you "top dollar", so... yeah. Questions, help please! I'm new to all of this.

Yeah, and with Chegg, you just go online and print a shipping label, which is included with the rental fee.

I always use Chegg. Buying from Amazon is only worth it if you need a new book, with an access code or something.

I heard you don't get much when selling back, but this Chegg site also says they buy books back from you when you're done, they say they'll pay you "top dollar", so... yeah.

You never get much from selling back books. I have actually never been successful with selling books to Chegg (they didn't want my books). If you want to sell your books, the best way is actually selling them to people on campus. You get more money, and they save more money, usually.

Anyway, Chegg is the best, and I highly recommend them.

Oh good, thanks. So I will rent then, when it comes time to send back, how do I go about doing that? Is there instructions? This may seems stupid on my part, like this should probably be common knowledge, so let's just pretend that I'm stupid right now >_>

Chegg will give you instructions on how to return them. Generally though, you just keep the box and shipping materials they sent you, put your textbooks back in it at the end of the semester, print the label, tape it on the box, seal the box, and drop it off at a UPS place. Chegg has more specific instructions and stuff, but that's generally it.

Alright, thanks a bunch. I'm excited because I just got my refund back, and it's for over 1700 dollars. Using Chegg, I'll be able to save a LOT of that, oh man. This is awesome.
