I'm not sure if the viewing angle was off or if the effects in Wii Sports (or whatever game that was) are poor, but that was bad. I wasn't expecting the world, but what I saw was pretty underwhelming. I now have a better understanding for why this system struggled out the gate. If the 3D effects I saw are indicative of the system as a whole, then it's not worth $250 even with a stronger library.

Yeah, one eye is way weaker and basically not used by me at all. So I suppose everything is practically 2D to me, but I don't know what the normal way is like. But it's lame that it gets in the way of cool tech experiences like this.

It's possible I guess. The system was in a store kiosk, so I had to move myself up and down to adjust the viewing angle and distance. I fiddled with the slider as well but could not find a setting that looked impressive. I was surprised as to how blurry everything looked initially, and I wasn't staring at the screen from an "awkward" angle. Maybe my eyes are just bad.

From: SHINE GET 64 | #011 sounds like you were playing Pilotwings, in which case yeah it's 3D isn't the greatest.
Yeah, it had to be Pilotwings, and I'm glad there are better examples on the system. I would have liked to see OoT on display, but I guess a game like that doesn't rope in the casuals as well.
