8 because I don't watch much. Everything after 8 is kind of meh. Cowboy Bebop and Shakugan no Shana might be 9 and 10. I don't know
8. Neon Genesis Evangelion
The first show I ever watched. It was good. I liked it
7. Cromartie High School
The Baseball episode is still on my list of favorite episodes of anything ever. Also really liked the 15 minute format
6. Clannad the second season
If it wasn't for the rage inducing last couple episodes this would be much higher
EPIC SPOILERS
I felt really pissed that me getting sad at nagisa's (or however her name is spelled) death was an lol jk she's not actually dead. Like it was such an amazing twist and plot device and they just kind of brushed it aside. That ticked me off. The death of Ushio I also though was completely unnecessary. If the show had ended with the episode where peace was made to the father, then this would possibly be number one.
END SPOILERS
5. Kanon
ITS SO SAD AND I DON'T REALLY UNDERSTAND BUT ITS REALLY SAD!
That basically sums up my view of Kanon. Cried manly tears watching this one. Also Ayuu is the greatest female character ever.
4 Code Geass
Possibly the most sheerly entertaining show on this list, its the only show that I watched week to week as episodes came out. It was clearly over the top in the plot twist department in season 2. But it was awesome
3. The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (first season)
I haven't actually watched the whole second season yet (Stupid endless eight) but the first season was brilliant. The broadcast order made things much more interesting and it was very polished. Also bonus points for God Knows being an amazing song
1.5 Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni
Had the second season not dragged, this probably would be number one. I still vividly remember how freaked out I was at one point. I love dark Jacked up shows that aren't too gross, and this was an absolutely perfect balance between messed up and over the top. Just a tad bit more gore and I probably would have thought it was too disgusting for my taste, a little less and I would have found it boring. Amazing line they straddled
1.Death Note
I just love the psychological aspect of this show. The mind games are amazing, the ending kind of ticked me off because I thought it was dumb, but I still remember driving across the city while watching the sub of the last episode because I had to pick up my sister from her dance class but I couldn't wait to see how it ended. Thats the sign of a real show.
