I actually havent seen Hyakko, but ive been making decent headway through the genre recently so I may go for it soon.

Just don't expect "deep" from Hyakko if that's your thing! It's closer to Azumanga than anything.

I can do without deep, I men Kamichu! isnt particularly deep itself, just really well done and it goes towards the heartwarming side of the scale pretty effectively.

Though depth DOES help, there are cases where depth can be stifling like Legend of Galactic Heroes.

I'm gonna assume you're looking it this like popular titles make a list boring? TTGL and One Piece deserve their popularity.

Theyre simply titles everyone usually ranks highly, so their presence on a top list IS kinda boring.

That aside, TTGL is just not very good if you asked me.

TTGL came out at a time in my life that I really needed to see something like that to get through some personal stuff so I'm pretty attached to it.

Oh most likely, I tend to dislike action stuff unless it hits me in just the right way.
