I heard that it's good to have 2 or more anti-virus programs, so I ended up getting Malwarebytes and Avast. The thing is, I keep getting notifications about Malwarebytes blocking something, but most of them seem to have the name Avast in there.

No, due to the nature of anti-virus software, it has always been the case that they conflict with each other, so you should only run one at once
