I just got back from Hard Summer Music Festival, and I heard 3 different songs from 3 differents artists that were all remixes of the Tetris theme. I know Tetris is popular and all that, but wtf?
Also, I'm adding a little rant about how raves going mainstream is ruining it.
1) Everything was FULL!!!! I don't just mean the dance floors, cause even at EDC 10, the dance floors were pretty full... I mean that even the grass areas where people can sit on and stuff were so full! A lot of them had to resort to sitting in places with nothing but dust and pebbles.
2) People had no courtesy for each other! People treated the dance floors like mosh pit(although I've never been to one, it kinda seemed like a tamer version of stories I've heard from friends and stuff)... People were shoving each other for no good reason other than fun and selfishness. Also, if you needed to get anywhere, good luck with that! No one would move for people, and some people even flat out said that you couldn't go through and had to go around them.(It might not sound like very much, but it was a lot of time and effort, considering how packed the dance floors were) Also, it's not like they were like that just cause they didn't want people cutting in front of them either. They were doing that crap to me even when I was leaving the dance floors. Another thing to add, people were littering EVERYWHERE!!!! I mean, people littered at previous raves, but they littered in the grass areas where people sit and crap.
3) The dude to girl ratio got a lot bigger in difference! The dude to girl ratio was always a bit bigger for the dudes, but now you have these dude-brahs all coming to raves cause they think it's an easy hook up. Seriously, if you didn't grab a girl in the first hour or 2, you're s**** out of luck. Also, a lot of girls that came had boyfriends... it's like wtf?!!!! Most girls back in the days came to raves to hook up with dudes, but now like half of the girls come with dudes... To make it worse, in previous raves, like 99% of them dressed like "raver girls" and 1% had the normal attire. Now it's like 70% dress normally and 30% dress like "raver girls"
