The first of the 'King of the Mountain' competitions has come to close and your winner is none other than the iconic Ryu Hayabusa, perhaps a character which best represents 'ninja' (at least to many people). As someone mentioned, I find this a bit of a surprise as Ryu was never saved first and had been nearly eliminated for the better part of the last third of the contest. Nevertheless, he triumphs over Final Fantasy to claim his prize!

Great contest, very cool winner Ryu is the man and a good posterboy for all that is ninja.

For my nominations it was cool that Shizuka got so far, Mai Shiranui went way too early, and of course American Ninja Joe Armstrong never really got going, I forget the others all cools.

Can't wait for the pirates!
