Also, if anyone deserves to dislike Todd Howard it's those who enjoy the Elder Scroll series. Watching him rip apart Oblivion's engine for Fallout was brutal, and it was pretty much up to the gaming community to come up with mods so that their interest in the game series wouldn't diminish.

He's pretty much shown he really only cares about what he wants(I said it.), and Skyrim shouldn't have taken as long as it has to be this close to coming out as it is. So the expectation is he'll release another Fallout game or two and six or so expansions by the time the next Elder Scroll game is even considered. That's just my outlook though.

Short version: Todd Howard is a douche and acts like this which he likely is supporting are pretty much a given.

Creating a new game in one of the most acclaimed WRPG series OF ALL TIME is not at all showing he only cares about what he wants. It was a massive tribute to many of Elder Scroll's longtime fans.

I disagree. He's shown the Fallout series is his baby, his vision in numerous interviews and statements. That will always come first to him, the Elder Scroll series is whenever he decides to get around to it or is pushed into it by the bigwigs.

lol, no it wasn't, it ended up being one of the greatest games of all-time, and in turn brought more people into the Bethesda fold to buy Elder Scrolls games.

I didn't find Fallout all that good. So it's just a matter of opinion on that. If you think he didn't rip apart Oblivion's engine and modify it, well then you might want to invest in a pair of glasses.

That's not what Howard has said time and time again. Do you think in turn he's taken the,"improved engine," he developed in Fallout and used the same tactic for Skyrim? I'd like to know if he's gone that route or just tried to create something else.

I don't see it that way. Todd's attitude, unless someone knows the guy personally is all Fallout, all the time. That's what he chooses to display when even the Elder Scrolls are discussed.

Better yet, Fallout was plastered over every commercial, internet ad, and video game discussion outlet. It's the fans that are hyping Skyrim, the amount of real voice Beth has put into Skyrim at this point is a drop in the bucket comparison to Fallout.

I don't think he's personally working on Scrolls much. He's got several employees now, I think a separate team is working on Scrolls for the most part.

Yeah that's pretty much wrong on both counts.

Scrolls is a series being developed by a friend of Notch who co-founded Mojang with him. I'm not sure he ha much input on it at all.

And MineCraft has had its "release date" out for a while now.

What would happen if they named it ScrollsCraft? WHO WOULD SUE IN THAT CASE?
