I think it's pretty clear that most PSP developers/publishers are happy enough with their numbers in Japan, and has zero plan to bring it overseas where the market doesn't care anyway, so I'm sure they don't care one bit about "international perspective" >_>
But yeah, because of that, it's unfortunate that we will only see very few end-era PSP games outside Japan, and from the few I've seen/read, they look pretty ballin' (seriously that Queen's Gate game looks pretty fun!). Type-0 will almost certainly be the last big PSP game coming here (the only one left?) before Vita becomes relevant.
Oh yeah, I wasn't denying the fact that the developers/publishers probably don't care. I'm talking about the state of the Japanese industry is all. A big chunk of the reason they've fallen behind so much this generation is because the West has moved toward HD visuals galore while the PSP has reigned supreme for such a long time over there.
Of course the DS has had a long history of being a remarkable powerhouse worldwide but when so many of your country's best developers are focusing plenty of their efforts on a handheld that Western countries have largely forgotten about (the PSP) you're going to lag.
I'm just talking about things from an industry-based standpoint. I'm sure the companies themselves are pretty happy with the results they're getting over there.

Power switch is the least of your problem; DS (Lite, not sure about other models) power switch location is not much better >_> (wait, we're talking about the location of the switch right?)
BBS, Valkyria Chronicles II, Tactics Ogre, Peace Walker (okay, you don't have that one as an excuse anymore) but most of all Persona 3 Portable. Two playthroughs of around 90 hours each, starting on my third.
I <3 my PS3, between PSone classics and the boatload of solid sleeper hit JRPGs on the system, in addition to the big titles colliding rattled off, why would I ever play the DS or 3DS?
You know things have changed when even I'm considering getting a PSP. It's gained credibility the old-fashioned way, by putting out good games that aren't simply PS2 knock-offs.
