I've always been really confident that NOA will release Xenoblade eventually, and I still am. Slowly but surely, though, I'm starting to wonder if they really are stupid enough to pass on localizing this.
-- The Crazy Dave rally thread purged, but it'll be back soon. Message me if you're still interested in being a part of it!
It's dated May 11th. That's before Project Rainfall, wasn't it?
I used the tag as this is relevant to rainfall/people that are interested in Xenoblade, not to imply that this was some kind of response to it or anything of that sort.
Considering how much more successful Nintendo has become under him, that's obviously a very unreasonable request. I just want games I'm interested in to actually be released here, why are games like Fortune Street and Mystery Case Files higher priority for NoA than something like Xenoblade? It's disgusting.
Apparently. I never would have guessed myself considering South America doesn't even have a Nintendo branch, they have to import everything. But yes, this game is being released in third world countries and not in the most consumeristic country in the world. Nintendo logic. I do not understand it.
Wind Waker is a good game and so is Twilight Princess, but it is pretty disappointing how Nintendo literally started Operation Moonfall to distract people from Rainfall when they probably intended to remake Majora's Mask all along.
Wind Waker was a good game. It's just disappointing how Nintendo literally started Operation Moonfall to distract people from Rainfall when they probably intended to remake Majora's Mask all along. Now when they make it they can be all like "-See-, we do listen to our fans!" while completely dodging the fact that apparently Mystery Case Files was a bigger priority for NoA than Xenoblade or Last Story.
I don't even want Xenoblade that much and I'd buy it if it was released stateside. Just to really show support for this Anti NoA bull**** policies movement.

Brawl is like ZSS' breasts. Well rounded for casual players. http://i52.tinypic.com/2llhfrc.jpg
I really wish I knew what Nintendo was thinking, I don't think it's even a financial thing. Are they afraid that JRPG's have a reputation for being nerdy games and it might ruin their image with their casual market or something if they release it? It sounds absurd but there is no logical explanation for their actions to begin with, you have to start combing through absurdities to try and figure them out.
Oh my god jesus im just a lurker and I read the pharse "Nintendo is terrible since Wind Waker and they sell crap and the fans buy it no matter how bad it is" so many times by that person that calls himself UltimaterializerX
This news seems perfect for making a joke where you change the lyrics of Africa by Toto from "I bless the rains down in Africa" to something about Project Rainfall and South Africa. But it's just not coming together. The best I can do is "Bless Project Rainfall in South Aaaafrica", and that's terrible.
Im just here for Anagram Pokemon topic and Best DS game contest But when I see a topic bashing Nintendo I read it,and that UltimaterializerX is usually the star of the party for some reason
From: janembaman | #035 I somehow find that hard to believe.

Ulti gets most of the attention in pretty much any topic he posts in, this board is obsessed with him.
He's wrong about Wind Waker though, if I had to pinpoint a key moment where Nintendo changed in the past 10 years, it would be the release and success of the DS. That is what taught them that having "fun" new interface gimmicks and marketing is more profitable than developing great games. It's what turned them into something of an Apple clone. They've shown they still have the ability to make good games and do from time to time, they just don't have the drive to do it as frequently because it's not what really makes them money now.
honestly if NoA does end up releasing xenoblade it would sell so much more than before this entire rainfall thing. it would make them marketing geniuses
It's only genius if they intended that effect from the start. But it's true, I hadn't really heard about Xenoblade at all before people got all angry at it. I'd heard about it but the fact that it had Xeno in its name meant that I pretty much instantly wrote it off as probably terrible, I had no idea it was so different in concept from Xenosaga.
